On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Barack Obama spoke on the phone. Given recent tensions over Ukraine and Crimea, dialogue seems like a good thing. However, were the two presidents really talking to each other? After reading the two official statements about the call, it sounds like they got some wires crossed or something.

“Obama is so far out of his league dealing with Putin it’s sad and embarrassing. Putin already owned him on Syria and he is going to do it again. He put troops on the border and called Obama because he wants the sanctions lifted/stopped and any negotiation will start there.

Let’s see. Discrepancy in the meeting with the Pope and discrepancy in talks with Putin. Hmmm...

I don't see any "catch up" on the part of the Washington Post.
I see the same kind of doublethink I see when Nancy Pelosi or Debbie Wasserman Schultz or any of the other losers in this circus babble on.
The Washington Post's position seems to be: President Obama said this, and President Putin said that, and there's not much commonality between their two stories, and isn't that interesting.
If that sounds like no big deal, just imagine for a moment what would be the reaction if a similar difference in stories existed in the aftermath of a conversation between George Bush and Putin. Or, for that matter, a conversation between George Bush and Ray Nagin.
And when he talked with the Pope.
Russian foreign minister: “You seem to have redacted six minutes of crying from your president, Americanski”
Will Putin slaughter fellow Slavs?
Putin - “Now go home and get your bleeping shinebox.”
Obama is telling us what the voices in his head were saying.
Or, “ I understand there is an opening for a Lawn Jockey down in Atlanta.”
That wouldn't do any good.

Maybe the same staffer composed descriptions of both events.

Obama and his administration have zero credibility.
Obama seems also to have curious “recollections” on Kosovo.
Of course, the MSM are mum about this:

He claimed that “Kosovo broke away from Serbia after a referendum” He said: “And Kosovo only left Serbia after a referendum was organized not outside the boundaries of international law, but in careful cooperation with the United Nations and with Kosovo’s neighbors. None of that even came close to happening in Crimea.”
... BUT there was NO referendum in Kosovo. NEVER.
Following a three-month NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in June, 1999, Kosovo was placed under administration of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and a NATO-led peacekeeping force, KFOR. Kosovo’s authorities unilaterally decided to declare independence in February, 2008, despite Serbia’s opposition.
But of course the American MSM ignores the bogus information given by Obama, comparing Crimea and Kosovo situations.
“I honestly don’t know what President Obama is talking about,” Serbian historian Nebojsa Malic said. “There was never such a referendum. It never took place. It did not exist. I am completely baffled... Maybe Obama’s speechwriters mistook the non-existent referendum in Kosovo with the referendum in Montenegro that took place in 2006. I am really not sure what sort of point they were trying to make, but you can’t just make up your own facts to boost your own argument. This is ridiculous”.
Obama and his minions from the White hut are ridiculous. European diplomats listened to his blabbering in utter disbelief. Who is this clown? they were thinking.
Does anyone really believe anything that come out of the mac daddy administration?

President Putin called President Obama today to discuss the U.S. proposal for a diplomatic resolution to the crisis in Ukraine, which Secretary Kerry had again presented to Foreign Minister Lavrov at the meeting at the Hague earlier this week, and which we developed following U.S. consultations with our Ukrainian and European partners. President Obama suggested that Russia put a concrete response in writing and the presidents agreed that Kerry and Lavrov would meet to discuss next steps.
President Obama noted that the Ukrainian government continues to take a restrained and de-escalatory approach to the crisis and is moving ahead with constitutional reform and democratic elections, and urged Russia to support this process and avoid further provocations, including the buildup of forces on its border with Ukraine.
President Obama underscored to President Putin that the United States continues to support a diplomatic path in close consultation with the Government of Ukraine and in support of the Ukrainian people with the aim of de-escalation of the crisis. President Obama made clear that this remains possible only if Russia pulls back its troops and does not take any steps to further violate Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. President Obama reiterated that the United States has strongly opposed the actions that Russia has already taken to violate Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
