And in the meantime Obama can’t even get polite applause at a speech given to a world audience.

That’s a lot of targets - why don’t the Ukranians do something?
A drawn-out, asymmetric war would be a humanitarian disaster, but it would certainly punish Russia as well, it is the last thing Putin wants, and would likely force him from power.

From Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Governor Sio Bibble: “A communications disruption could mean only one thing: invasion.”
The Ukraine better keep that in mind ... :-) ...

Why, that's just awful. A country protecting its southern border and prepared to act if need be to protect its countrymen on both sides of the border.
It's just so....unAmerican

Kiev started all this crap with their little coup.

A drawn-out, asymmetric warIf Russian troops only entered areas were they had support of the local population this would not be a problem. The Russians have a great deal of support in the eastern part of Ukraine.

Kiev had a LOT of support from Berlin, Brussels and Washington DC.
Seems they bit off more than they could chew.

March 27, 2013.....About 20 Russian military helicopters near Ukraine border in Belgorod via photo...
However...about the 21st (last Friday)...NBC Reporter traveled 500 miles 'inside' the Russian-UKrainian border and said.... saw no sign of Russian troops/tanks. His tweets: "NBC Just inside Russia along the very long border. .....If there's intent to invade, you don't see it.... We saw lots of combines and farmers selling apples, but if there are 20-25k Russian forces along the border they were hiding in their bases"
