Mythical Climate Change Consensus Hits An Iceberg
Investors Business Daily ^ | March 21, 2014

Junk Science: Climate change "deniers," as global warm-mongers call those who think empirical evidence is more reliable than computer models, may soon count among their number a 50,000-strong body of physicists.

At the risk of being accused of embracing what alarmists call the flat-earth view of climate change, the American Physical Society has appointed a balanced, six-person committee to review its stance on so-called climate change that includes three distinguished skeptics: Judith Curry, John Christy and Richard Lindzen. Their credentials are impressive.

Christy is director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama, Huntsville, and was a lead author of the 2001 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Curry is a professor and chairwoman of the School of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Lindzen, an Alfred P. Sloan professor of meteorology at MIT from 1983 to 2013, is currently a distinguished senior fellow in the Center for the Study of Science at the Cato Institute.

AGW is a way for the Administration to give taxpayer dollars to their supporters to start up green businesses. These supporters then turn around and send some of that money back to the democrats for campaigning. The Administration is doing everything they can to make this green expensive crap viable by regulating fossil fuels and subsidizing purchases. I see no end in sight.

Judith Curry is careful about how she comments on Global Warming and Climate Change (i.e. Anthropogenic Global Warming or AGW) in order to make her position appear to be more considerate and reasonable to a neutral or Skeptical audience. This approach has been described as the Lukewarmer position in the debate. nevertheless, Judith Curry has made it abundantly clear the she has concluded AGW is real and ongoing, and it is only a matter of determining how to communicate this conclusion to the Skeptical audience and gain scientific and political support commensurate to the potential consequences of AGW.
Although it is sometimes difficult to find a non-ambiguous quotation of her support for AGW, she is rather unequivocal about her acceptance of the AGW conjecture when she testified before the U.S. Congress:

Trenberth36 has argued that climate change is affecting all weather now, because the background conditions have changed as a result human-caused global warming. I don’t disagree with this statement; however there is no prima facie reason to think that global warming will make most extreme weather events more frequent or more severe.

The answer to questions 1,2, and 3: There are millions of very accurate climate sensors around the globe, their data can be easily verified, going back centuries, even thousands of years.

They are called "trees".
