I don’t think that #1 applied to Audie, considering his exploits.

Something I wonder if they have considered-
It was a big enough PITA retrofitting Navy ships for female crew. Some of the older amphibs (LPDs) never were. They were too close to decomming for the expense.
Are they going to now refit all the amphibs for female troop berthing? The newer ones have a small amount but I don’t think it’s anywhere near the 25% level, especially in those ships that carry large amounts of grunts.

Well that’ll teach Putin.

Watch the DoD homosexual mafia turn the data into a Power Point Briefing win. The fix is already in.

Of course Patton did not realize he was actually offending God and worsening his chances. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = I think 'many' Historians would tell you Patton probably looked upon himself as 'God'.
Of the many things Patton was, PC is not one of his traits.
He could not 'survive' in todays 'world'.
Ike and Bradley were the Statesmen, MacArthur the Politician. Patton was the warrior.
After Desert Storm etal, Powell came home the 'hero', Schwarzkopf the 'warrior'... When the press need 'putting in their place', Schwarzkopf was called upon to brief them.
Schwarzkopf would have been MY choice for Pres or UN Ambassador, even Sec Of State but we all know that was impossible.
A 'tribute' to Patton was that the majority of the "Allied" Military leaders did not like him.
The Germans RESPECTED and FEARED him. Hitler once referred to him as that crazy cowboy general, and the most dangerous man the Allies have.

" would expect at least 35-40% casualty rates..." Would be even higher if they include all the females put out of action by pregnancy.

My dad was (thankfully from his point of view) not directly under Patton, but he was nearby (Dad's unit of combat engineers got loaned to the Brits for awhile).
Dad said he was "peculiar" (which was Dad's polite way of saying stark staring crazy) but a "damn good fighter".

The Rush Limbaugh “All-American First Cavalry Amazon Battalion”.
Sync them up, so they get PMS at the same time, and there won’t be a force in the world who can stop them.

Armor isn't something that you just turn the key and drive, it takes muscle to arm and maintain, load and operate, tracked vehicles, especially where there are no roads and under war conditions.

Here’s the deal: make this 460 person task force composed of LBGT members exclusively. Send them to Afghanistan to gain real world combat experience. Does that sound too harsh? I don’t. If the LBGT community wants equal rights in the Marines, it’s time to prove yourselves boy, girls, and “other”. You’ve got a LONG way to go at this point.
