Britain is deploying a senior team from its Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) to assist in the search for missing MAS flight MH370.
The British High Commission here said in a statement that the team comprised an advisor at engine maker Rolls Royce and two AAIB senior investigators.
"The AAIB offered its assistance to the Malaysian authorities as the investigation body for the country of manufacture of the engines.
"This is the normal procedure for any incident involving an aircraft with UK manufactured engines," the High Commission said in the statement.
"It is valuable to have this expertise on the ground when the MH370 aircraft is discovered and the Malaysian authorities move rapidly into the investigation phase," it said.
The Boeing777-200ER plane disappeared from the radar screen with 239 passengers and crew over an hour after taking off at KLIA enroute to Beijing on Mar 8.
If Harriet Harmen is aboard, they’ll be stopping in Thailand to pick up some children.
Raise your hand if you still believe the powers that be don’t know or have a good idea where this plane is parked.
Missing MH370: Britain’s Air Accident Investigation Team Arrives
So soon?
SEAL Team 6, SEAL Team 6, paging SEAL Team 6, white phone please......
Rapidly? Just getting the Brits into the picture? Just beginning to think about looking at the flight simulator the pilot had at home? (Not surprising that he had one, but useful to see what flights he was simulating.)
has anyone confirmed yet the engines were actually pinging rolls royce during the flight?
Yes, they were. For how long, there seems to be a discrepancy between the US, Malaysia, and RR.
My friendly neighbourhood pimp drives a Rolls Royce, I’ll hafta ask him if the jet pinged it.
The Illuminati know!
“Just beginning to think about looking at the flight simulator the pilot had at home? (Not surprising that he had one, but useful to see what flights he was simulating.)”
I have been wondering about that angle myself.

The Malay’s have been trying to this all in-house, for reasons of national pride. You’ll note they DID NOT invite a full US team in, but the British, instead?
If it’s a US manufactured plane that goes down the US are automatically in the loop, no invitation needed.
