Radar Shows Plane Deliberately Flew Toward Indian Ocean: Reports
NBC News ^ | March 14, 2014 | Alastair Jamieson

Military radar evidence suggests the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner was deliberately flown west toward the Indian Ocean’s Andaman Islands, sources told Reuters on Friday as mounting evidence pointed to a criminal inquiry into Flight MH370.

Two sources told Reuters that an unidentified aircraft – believed by investigators to be the missing Boeing 777 - was following a route between navigational way-points, indicating it was being flown by someone with aviation training when it was last plotted on military radar off the country's northwest coast.

"As you say, Iran has all kinds of large commercial aircraft hanging around, with access to more. Why would they need a 777 for their hypothetical plot?"

IFF, radar cross section of jet and its engines, to place some doubt in the minds of the pilots ordered to shoot it down if it is painted like a Delta or AA or United or BA etc... Just to be sneaky? Who said they were smart? Besides, who wants to buy a used Malaysian 777 with all matching S/N parts for that aircraft?

This jet was taken by people who knew what they were doing. I doubt they would go to all that trouble to dump the 777 in the Indian Ocean. They had to know they would be tracked by satellite during daylight hours after they shut all the electronics down. Right now surveillance is looking at every conceivable landing strip between Malaysia and Iran in the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Arabia. Flight 370 landed and was refueled and flew as quickly as it could to friendly Islamic airspace over Pakistan or Iran. It would draw to much attention to be anything less than state sponsored activity, but to what end. Any manner of diversions could be created to allow this 777 to penetrate airspace on a non-war footing that we or our Government or Military have not contemplated, but the chess playing death wishing mohammedan’s have. Whatever is going to happen has been set in motion? Iran has planned this out with Russia and we are focused on Ukraine. Iran has nukes they are ready to test on somebody’s front yard. Israel has warned us and Obama is an idiot and a coward and we cannot suffer these fools for much longer. Would the Iranian’s screw their new Chinese friends knowing most of the passengers were Chinese? If we find the FLT370’s final location by surveillance in Iran how do we prove it? Do we send in a drone strike over Iran? Did we after Iran captured one of our stealth recon drones? Or do we give Israel the green light to strike Iran and take out the centrifuges, the stolen 777, and the nuke material? Do we send in a commando raid and strike? Somebody knows and they are not speaking and wish that the WSJ never leaked the data link story about the FLT370 staying airborne. The fruitless search and recovery of black boxes was a better cover story. Build yourself a quick Faraday cage out of tinfoil and a paper box.

Isn’t Pepperland alleged to be in that vicinity?

Looks to me like the plane made the left turn and flew on until no fuel, then went down. Now the question is: why did the crew make the turn and then do nothing? Crew suicide is most likely reason in my mind. Crew did not have guts to nose dive so they just flew west until fuel starvation forced them/him into water.

But why did the pilot do it? He didn’t seem like an “Allahu Akbar” type from the youtubes he liked.

My husband JUST said the same thing. Hijack the plane, take it to Pakistan and from either there or Iran, put on a nuke or bomb, redo the paint to look like El Al and fly it into Israel.

Also wondered if the 40,000 foot climb was to decompress the passenger cabin so they would die, while wearing oxygen masks in the cockpit.

Since everyone is open for speculation....what if it was not the plane they wanted......but some engineers who know a crap load about designer chips... implantation into terrorist etc...after all, knowledge is power, these men have or had a lot of it apparently ....I dunno just sayin... However it is probably waiting to be found on the bottom of the ocean somewhere....anywhere....batteries and all :/

That does hold water I think.

Now the real question is this....

Is it really a ROP event or someones Red Flag diversionary?

Who benefits the most? Who gets ignored? And who has the resources to successfully make it look like a ROP operation?

that theory doesn’t pass the smell test on many levels.

Iran has 747’s that can already do the job, and a paint job alone will fool no one except the folks who watch planes land at the airport. Unless the plane is expected, and is squawking the proper ident, it will not be permitted in their airspace.

Maybe someone put a bunch of snakes on board and they escaped to kill someone important. Taken from “Snakes on a Plane” movie.

The passengers would probably be asleep. Any deviation, the pilot could tell the passengers it was a minor navigation correction. Given the length of the flight, people on board might not notice

Climbing altitude and then diving 20K feet in a minute would certainly wake people up. It could be they intended to do what you said but there was a struggle of some sort.

This aircraft is at the bottom of the ocean, probably 600 miles south of Sri Lanka or wherever the ocean is deepest in that area. The pilot pulled a ‘Sully’ maneuver or a belly landing to minimize debris.

Is there a chance that Kim Jong Unsane is behind this, and he’s setting something up for South Korea?

It prolly irks him to no end that South Korea is getting the Olympics, is prosperous, free, etc.

I flew out of that part of the world. You would be amazed what passengers took on board, I saw clothes irons, live chickens etc. Watching security do the searches was a hoot. We were on the runway lined up and the flight attendants were still walking around doing their safety briefings.

When we started rolling down the runway the flight attendant started praying. I was so happy to land in Thailand.

For an idea of what goes in that part of the world, Google the Riyadh crash, 163 where passengers bought a gas stove aboard they tried to make tea after take off and started a fire that disabled the flight controls killing all 300+ aboard.

No, I don’t agree that the target was the plane. It’s not hard to get your hands on a plane by conventional means - this attracts way too much attention.

I must agree. It's almost as if some of us (those more given to conspiracy theories, I guess) believe that the only possible means for a terrorist state (or group) to obtain an airplane for future use is to hijack one that's loaded with passengers...like there's absolutely no way they couldn't just purchase one that didn't have 200+ people on it already. You could probably pick an empty plane up pretty cheap from a failed terrorist state that itself managed to procure a plane, but doesn't need it anymore because they couldn't come up with any WMDs to load onto it.

OK...so there's a bit of facetiousness there. But not everything under the sun is some big conspiracy.

We also have to look at the possibility that an airborne assault will not be tried again because we are somewhat prepared for that. The terror masterminds are not dummies. I can think of several ways to cause massive damage to infrastructure and cause mass casualties and panic without using an aircraft and I’m sure they can too.

Not to pick nits but those satellites that can see down in the daytime can also see the huge heat signature the triple seven is going to radiate at night. I still say some of our satguys know which way this thing went——but they aren’t going to say directly to avoid tipping their hand. Just kollow the USS Kidd. It knows where it’s going.

If this plane was hijacked, it had to land in a country BEYOND its range.

The Malaysian government should find out if it was fitted by an extra small fuel tank or two in a carved out section of the cargo hold.

The people who would do this would be plain maintenance personnel in a company hangar sometime ago.

If anyone can find out with enhanced interrogation, it would be Malaysian Moslems to save face. That of course if the have something to do with it.

With a longer range, you never know where it is. Look for Iran, Pakistan, etc. I don’t think Somalia or Yemen because of our constant drone surveillance.

My 02 cents.

why would Iran need to steal a 777? they have their own airline and a whole fleet of jets?
