Homicide investigators are gathering evidence after a father shoots and kills a teenage boy he found in his daughter's bedroom.

A spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff's office said Deputy constables from pct 4 responded to a 911 call around 2:20 a.m. about a shooting in the Bridgestone Lake Subdivision in Northwest Harris County.

I raised two daughters, I am armed and would have done the same.

The cop would say “I felt threatened” end of story

***********

Basically that is what the father is saying, so we’ll see how it plays out.

....The father told police the boy dropped his hands as if to grab something, so
the man opened fire. ....

I agree, not guilty.

Intruder in house at an “o-dark-thirty” timeframe, in bed with an underage daughter. Other kids in house have to be protected.

Dad was doing his job.
Daughter lied to get itch scratched.

I would not be surprised if daughter runs into doorknob a few times, of her own accord, of course.
Or, if her mother is alive (no mention in report that I saw), send her off to the mother’s place to finish school.
Why? The other schoolkids might not be so forgiving.

Maybe a little impromptu neutering, perhaps?

Pop looks big enough to may carry out the deed.

Yes, not guilty since the daughter later admitted she knew the boy and let him in. Babies makin’ babies....

Then charge the girl. The boy was doing nothing illegal and it was her lie that led to his death.

I disagree. Let this be a lesson to those who would go after. Kids do dumb $hit...sometimes it can cost you your life.

So he deserves to be dead because his girlfriend invited him in the house.

Glad you were such an angel throughout your life.

Rapist, yes. Daughter’s b/f ? No. Crap like this should cost daddy a very long stretch in prison.

I’d have just blown a big enough hole in his pelvic region to house a urine bag.

Indeed I did...I also knew (assumed) that I could get capped for my troubles. Grew up in Detroit, took plenty of reckless and ill advised chances.

Perhaps....but I doubt it will. If it is as reported? Justifiable homicide!

we’ll see how it plays out - my point was there are two justices - the cop would be eating donuts the next day - the dad will likely go broke defending himself

“He was 17. She was 16. She invited him in. And he DESERVES to be dead in your opinion?”

I wouldn’t say -deserved-, but result was reasonable. The daughter said she did not know the intruder, the intruder ‘reached’ for something while being confronted. Those two factors changed the result from a family drama into a funeral.

What a horrible waste of life. Sex happens. Prayers for the boy and pity for those so blind they can’t see the tragedy.

Tragedy? Yes. Your pity? Save it. Some life lessons come harder than others.
