This is all very confusing. Even I am not sure if what they did is a crime anymore? Perhaps Idd and Maqadin are the real victims here. It’s hard to tell since we’re not told whether the two men who were beaten were in some protected class or not.
If they had committed this crime in the downtown area of Minneapolis it would hardly be mentioned in the news. Since they did it in the swanky suburb of Eden Prairie, at a very nice health club, they are going to get quite a bit more attention.
