Kim Jong-un's Sister Secures Place in Nomenklatura
North Korea's state-run media have for the first time mentioned leader Kim Jong-un's younger sister Yeo-jong by name, suggesting she has established a position of some influence for herself in the corridors of power.
North Korean state TV on Sunday reported that Kim Jong-un visited a polling station at Kim Il-sung University for elections for the Supreme People's Assembly on Sunday, accompanied by military politburo chief Choe Ryong-hae, Workers Party deputy directors Kim Kyong-ok and Hwang Pyong-so, "and comrade Kim Yeo-jong."

The honorific "comrade" suggests Kim Yeo-jong has a rank above deputy director in the Workers Party. Some pundits speculate that she assumed a similar position to her aunt Kim Kyong-hui, who is a party secretary.
Kim Jong-un was a candidate for the rubber-stamp Supreme People's Assembly.
P!
She better be careful
If she was smart she would figure a way the heck out of Dodge
There may be a mortar round in her future.
Where do they get those hats!!? Just got to get me one./s
(There’s no doubt an entire slave labor industry that manufactures nothing but Nork uniforms, hats, & medals.)
she’s probably enjoying the perks
for now
I believe that is a potted tree behind little Sister's head.
Heh, heh, I saw that, too, the little riceball’s sister has tentacles growing out of her head.
I was referring to the photo of the riceball’s entourage with those enormous flying saucer hats.
;^)
It’s probably been shot by now.
Yeah those medals are probably for "Survived the purge of 2001","Survived the purge of 2002","Survived the purge of 2003".........
She doesn’t look exactly well fed...
As of 18:00 Sunday, all electors registered on the lists of voters went to the polls, except for those on foreign tour or working in oceans, according to a report of the Central Election Committee.
Overseas citizens of the DPRK staying in the homeland also took part in voting according to their wishes.
Those voters unable to go to the polling stations because of old age or illness cast their ballots into mobile ballot boxes.
The election committees of constituencies across the country are confirming the results of voting for the candidates of the deputies to the SPA registered in the relevant constituencies.

LOL!
BOY Laz would be disappoint he wouldn’t hit that LOL!
“...suggesting she has established a position of some influence for herself in the corridors of power.”
Shouldn’t the article state she now has some influence only because her brother has put her into a position of some authority and that lesser lights and peons had better kow tow to her, or else?
Tiger, I read an article a few weeks back stating that she was going to be handling the money accounting duties as well as handling the deals to bring in “revenues” to the Norks. If so, then this would be a position of power and one she was assigned because Kim Jong Un could trust her.
Its a family dictatorship more than its a typical Communist regime. The Kim family or those close to them - wield all the effective levers of power in North Korea. Nepotism at its finest.
In other words, a typical Korean girl. ~ducking~ :)
