Crimea, was it in 1959 or 1954? I’m trying to find the treaty to read it.

These claims that “the US government stole the Southwest territories from Mexico” are lies and fraudulent history. The Mexican War occurred because Mexico and Santa Ana set out to reconquer Texas and to conquer most of the U.S. territories known as the Louisiana Purchase. Their key objective was to capture the City of New orleans and control all trade on the Mississippi River and its tributaries in the Western United States. Santa Ana and the leaders were warned by the senior generals of the Mexican Army that their ambitions were beyond what the Mexican Army was capable of achieving, but those warnings were unheeded and made very unwelcome. Santa Ana and his supporters insisted upon pursuing their conquests regardless of the obstacles, and they moved forward to instigate what became the Mexican War.
The territories obtained from Mexico were bought and paid for, despite the Mexican attempt to conquer the U.S. territories without compensating the United States for what Mexico attempted to steal and take by force. In fact, Mexico owed vast sums of money to the United States and to other nations for the property the Mexican government had seized, stolen, confiscated, and destroyed belonging to foreign citizens. After decades of difficult negotiations and punitive expeditions by France and other nations, mexico finally agreed to pay reparations for what had been stolen by the officers of the Mexican Government. Then Mexico reneged on their agreements to repay what Mexico owed, and instead despoiled even more foreign and domestic properties and human lives to erect its totalitarian dictatorships.
having started a war of conquest against the United States and then losing that war, Mexico was finally brought to accountability for its past defaults of the monies it owed for its prior violations of its domestic laws and violations of the law of nations. Since Mexico had squandered its treasury on civil war and foreign war, it still lacked the financial resources to pay its long neglected debts to the United States and other nations. In lieu of money, the United States purchased and took possession of part of the territories claimed by Mexico, most of which had never been occupied by Mexico or its citizens. Mexico debts owed due to its past illegal conduct were then settled by payments in land and the cash the United States paid to mexico for that land. That is by no means or definition whatsoever the “stealing” of land from Mexico. It was paid for more than fair and square in blood and money. By contraswt, no other naton of that day and age would have paid a losing aggressor for the land conquered in a war, whether offensive or defensive.
The Russians in the Crimea have been unalawfully conquered by a dysfunctional Russian government. Whereas 90% of the population, including the Russian ethnic population, voted for independence with the Ukraine, and not by an unlawfully invading Ukrainian army. You’re are just spouting false propaganda in support of a Russia that is acting like the Stalinist Soviet Union and Hitler’s NAZI army invading Czechoslovakia and Austria.

None of which happened in the Crimea. Russia deposed from the Crimean parliament and government any Ukrainians, Russians, and Tatars who opposed Russia’s annexation of the Crimea. Then Russia ordered the treasonous Russian Crimeans to stage a fraudulent and illegal legislative session to rubberstamp the Russian conquest, just as Hitler did with the Czechoslovakian Sudetenland and the austrian Anschluss. Putin and Russia does not allow participation or diisidence from any opponents to the Russian naked conquest. This includes the Russians who previously voted to become independent from Russia in an independent Ukraine.

Strictly speaking, Texas did not secede from the Mexican Government under which the Texas Government obtained its authority under the Mexican Constitution. Instead, rebels overthrew the government of Mexico in a coup that scrapped the Mexican Constitution. Texas and a few other mexican states remained loyal to the Constitutional Mexican Government, until Santa ana’s rebel armies systematically conquered all of the loyal states but Texas and a couple of other Mexican states. By that time the Federal Government authorized by the overthrown Mexican Constitution ceased to exist, and Texas declared independence from the rebel revolutionary government of Mexico that forcibly usurped the constitutional Mexican federal government.
In the present case of the Ukraine, Putin’s intelligence services perpetrated a coup in the Ukrainian government some years ago to put his agent, Yanukovych, in control of the Ukrainian government. These treasonous Russian agents then proceeded to use massive vote fraud to defraud the people of Ukraine and keep the Russian traitors in their Ukrainian positions of power and control over the Ukraine. The people finally rebelled against the treasonous government and insisted upon the Ukrainian parliament to act to restore a loyal and honest governemnt in the Ukraine. When Putin’s Russian coup in the Ukrainian government failed, he then used the events he unlawfully precipitated as a pretext for invasion and conquest to accomplish what his subversion and treason in the Ukraine failed to accomplish.
There is a wide variety of reports which piece together the evidence of the forcible overthrow of the Crimean government by Russian military personnel and their ethnic Russian collaborators from the Crimea. a fair summary has already appeared in Wikipedia:
2014 change of government[edit]On February 27, 2014, during the 2014 Crimean crisis, Refat Chubarov, leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People and member of the Council of Ministers of Crimea, said that unknown gunmen seized the Building of the Supreme Council of Crimea (the Parliament) on Karl Marx Street and the building of the Council of Ministers on Kirova Avenue in Simferopol.[8]
Fifty gunmen occupied the building of the Crimean legislature, barricaded the building and installed machine guns at the front entrance. They allowed entrance to the Speaker of the Parliament and some members of legislature, but denied entrance to officials of the executive office.[9]
Under siege, and in violation of all due process,[9] the Supreme Council of Crimea held an emergency session and passed a motion of no confidence in the Council of Ministers and adopted a resolution to terminate its powers.[8] The parliament dismissed the Chairman and Prime Minister, Anatolii Mohyliov pursuant to Article 136 of the Constitution of Ukraine, and replaced him de facto with Sergey Aksyonov, a local businessman.[9] They voted to hold a referendum on the independence of Crimea on May 25.[10]
According to the Constitution of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Crimea is appointed by the Supreme Council of Crimea in consultation with the President of Ukraine.[11][12]
Olha Sulnikova, head of information and analysis department of parliament, reported on the phone from inside the parliamentary building that 61 of the registered 64 deputies had voted for the referendum resolution and 55 for the resolution to dismiss the government.[13]
Interfax-Ukraine reported “it is impossible to find out whether all the 64 members of the 100-member legislature who were registered as present, when the two decisions were voted on or whether someone else used the plastic voting cards of some of them” because due to the armed occupation of parliament it was unclear how many members of parliament were present.[13]
Enver Abduraimov, member of the parliament presidium, said that he did not go inside when he saw that raiders who secured the building were confiscating all communications devices from deputies. Andriy Krysko, head of the Crimean branch of the Voters Committee of Ukraine, announced that no one from the parliament secretariat was in the building when voting took place.[13]
Vladimir Konstantinov, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Crimea, and new de facto Prime Minister, Sergey Aksyonov, announced that they refused to recognize the dismissal of Viktor Yanukovych as President of Ukraine, and viewed him as legitimate.[14][15] Aksyonov added “we will follow his directions.”[16]
On 1 March, the Acting President of Ukraine, Oleksandr Turchynov, signed a decree declaring the appointment of Sergei Aksyonov unconstitutional.[17]
The above extract from Wikipedia notes how the Crimean parliament before the Russian invasion lacked legal authority to act in the kind of legislative subject matter that has subsequently been usurped from the Ukrainian government. It also comments upon the fraudulent voting that falsely claims the Deputies were present and voted as claimed. The interview with the Crimean Tartar organization clearly proves the Crimean parliament had no such support from the non-Russian members of the Crimean parliament. It also remains unknown whether or not at least some of the ethnic Russian Deputies would have voted to remain loyal to the Ukraine had they been physically present, able, and not under intimidation and threat of serious repercussions.
