A strange one, this. Rep. Steve Stockman said (sometimes ghost-tweeted) fiery things, but never really bothered to run a campaign, as far as anyone was able to tell....

Let's focus on crushing Democrats in November.

By the way, if you're in Illinois, District 13, vote for ERIKA HAROLD in the primary! :)

Hardly a crush. Cornyn squeaked by after spending $6 million against ineffective competition.

Winning a primary got very expensive for liberal republicans.

Stockman seems a strange candidate period.

If anything cornyn won via vote splitting.

No viable conservative stood out so cornyn’s name recognition carried him through.

Given all the minimal banks accounts of the “challengers”, I suspect the dead enders are more interested in the pension rather than the service.

John Wayne McCornyn did NOT get a single vote from anybody in my family.

He will NOT be getting our votes in November, either.

First time I have seen those figures. If correct, then these numbers are the real story. An incumbent GOP Senator from Texas gets only 60% of the vote.

He got 59% of the vote. And Cornhole had to spend $8 million and run ads pretending he's conservative to do it.

No, we don’t need progressive Republicans right now. As history shows, they are happy to undermine conservatives and play for Team Dem in crunch time.

Nothing will change with liberal Republicans except the Democrats will slowly win. That is not a victory.

Not really. Rick Perry only got 51% in the Texas GOP gubernatorial primary in 2010 against Hutchison and Medina, but still cruised to a comfortable double-digit win in November that year against the Democrat.
