Sandwich chain Quiznos is preparing to file for bankruptcy protection within weeks as it contends with declining sales and a lofty debt load, people familiar with the matter said.

The company, which has about $570 million in debt, has been negotiating with creditors for weeks on a restructuring plan that would streamline its trip through bankruptcy court, these people said. A final deal on a so-called prepackaged restructuring plan hasn't yet been reached, they said.

Whoever ran their advertising campaign needs to be drummed out of the business. I mean, these were some of the creepiest commercials ever.

When I saw the commercials like the one linked above, I vowed never, ever, to eat there again.

Try this on for size, I call it a half-hot Pastrami...

2 slices dark rye
Mayo & Hot Chinese Mustard both bread slices
Apply liberal amounts of heated pastrami on base bread slice
Cover pastrami with Swiss cheese...micronuke for 30 - 40 secs

Remove hot portion of sandwich from nuker then cover with avocado slices and liberal amounts of sprouts and place your cold piece of rye on top and dig in.

.

Worst ads and marketing ever. Those rat thingys are just horrible.
I know of 10-12 Subway shops, but I don’t know where 1 Quiznos shop is.

Quizno’s is one of those places I used to stop at whilst driving from Denver to Steamboat...thinking that it was going to be a really good sandwich.

Devoured it while driving through the mountains, slopping it all over the car and myself and then regretted the decision and realized that I felt ill and looks are deceiving and it wasn’t that good after all...

Cousins’ subs, peeps, Cousins subs. It’s all in the bread.

And Wendy’s is pretty safe as long as you don’t order the gray crater burgers but rather the chili and the baked potatoes...sea salt fries are excellent.
I agree that Subway is horrible. Bad bread!

Good food, for the most part. Waaay overpriced.

Yep - also have some other good choices. They lost me with the "Toasty" commercial - don't know if it was intended, but my impression was they were alluding to the due in the pickup truck as a homo.
