Ukraine Crisis: Russia Brands New Leaders "Mutineers" (We All Knew This Was Coming Alert)
BBC News ^ | 2/24/2014 | BBC News

Mr Medvedev, quoted by Russian news agencies, suggested that Western countries that accepted Ukraine's new authorities were mistaken.

"Strictly speaking, there is no-one for us to communicate with there today," he said.

"The legitimacy of a whole number of organs of power that function there raises great doubts.

"Some of our foreign, Western partners think otherwise. This is some kind of aberration of perception when people call legitimate what is essentially the result of an armed mutiny."

He added: "We do not understand what is going on there. There is a real threat to our interests and to the lives of our citizens."

....

However, Russia's foreign ministry also issued a strongly worded statement saying a "forced change of power" was taking place in Ukraine and that interim authorities were using "terrorist methods" to pressure dissenters in regions including Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

“Russia probably won’t intervene directly”

It doesn’t need to.
It suffice to turn down its gas tap.
80% of Ukraine energy comes from Russia.

“The Ossetians and Abkhazians he intervened in Georgia for are not even Russian, he just gave them Russian passports and made them Russian citizens.”

Most of Russians and russophones in Easter Ukraine have also Russian passeports. Crimea and Odessa are 100% Russian. It was “offered” symbolically by Krustchev to Ukraine in 1954, but remained Russian thru and thru.
Same thing with the industrial center Donetsk, whic produces 25% of Ukraine income.

A total of 15 millions in Ukraine - one third of the population - are Russian speaking ortodox.

If Russians did not want the Bolsheviks to give away the Crimea, then maybe they shouldn’t have murdered their Tzar. Maybe men like Putin and his NKVD father shouldn’t have helped those Bolshevik animals destroy their own nation.

You are an ignoramus.
Le tzar was killed in 1918.
V.Putin, born in 1952.

If only the Nordists didn’t kill 600,000 of their compatriots in the South in the American civil war ...

If only the Americans didn’t kill hundreds of thousands Japanese civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaky....

If only the CIA didn’t help al-qaeda and the talibans in 1980 in Afghanistan...

Let’s rewrite history, sob.

If they decide to fight in massed formations, yes. If Russian forces are attacked piecemeal, it's a long slog.

And if a whole bunch f weapons are distributed to civilians, and it turns into a campaign of ambush, assassination, and terrorism against the pro-Russian supporters, it can turn into another Afghanistan for them.

Putin was a dedicated servant of the same Bolshevik communism that murdered the Tsar and enslaved Russia. Putin's father was NKVD and his grandfather was Lenin's cook. Generation after generation of Putins were traitors to Russia in the service of the totalitarian communism. Putin has never repented or apologized for his loyal service to communism and his betrayal of his fellow Russians, indeed he is proud of what he did. Putin served Soviet Communism loyally and now he is stuck with all the stupid and evil acts done by that system he supported. That includes the transfer of the Crimea to Ukraine.

In that case I don't think Putin would be able to get elected to another term.

“Ukrainians are circling the bowl the way known substance does, between East and West for all that time waiting for both sides to provide maximum free money. Every time their expectations fails they are rioting to get opposed fraction to office, with ties to another foreign country believed to deliver more goodies at the time.”

EXACTLY.
This time they are expecting money from Americans and the EU. As soon as they stopped attacking the police, they are asking for 40 billions dollars aid!

White supremacist banners and Confederate flags were draped inside Kiev’s occupied City Hall, and demonstrators have hoisted Nazi SS and white power symbols ... Maidan protesters destroyed a memorial to Ukrainians who died battling German occupation during World War II. Sieg heil salutes and the Nazi Wolfsangel symbol have become an increasingly common site in Maidan Square...the ultra-nationalist Svoboda, whose leader, Oleh Tyahnybok, has called for the liberation of his country from the “Muscovite-Jewish mafia.”...

Svoboda’s openly pro-Nazi politics have not deterred Senator John McCain from addressing a Maidan rally alongside Tyahnybok, nor did it prevent Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland from enjoying a friendly meeting with the Svoboda leader in February. More than that: Nuland boasted that the US had invested $5 billion to “build democratic skills and institutions” in Ukraine. The Obama administration is supporting the nazi movements in Ukraine with your money.

The so-called "peaceful protesters" holler nasty slogans that the ultranationalists from Western Ukraine brought to Kiev. Slogans like “Україна — понад усё!” which is just the Ukrainian translation of “Deutschland über alles” – “Germany above everything,” the famous nasty Nazi slogan. The nazi signs were everywhere over the city. The photo they put up is Bender, un Ukrainian who fought in the Werhmart with the nazi and chased and killed the Jews during WWII:

Chairman of the Russia Duma Sergey Naryshkin meets the Isreli Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein

At a joint press conference with Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, Naryshkin answered reporters’ questions about the situation in Ukraine, saying that Russia is very concerned about it. Anti-Semitism and anti-Russian rhetoric in Ukraine are cause for consternation:

“Unfortunately, the situation includes many expressions of anti-Semitism from radical groups.”

The neo-nazi party Svoboda, which catapulted itself from its status as a fringe group into Ukraine’s fourth biggest parliamentary faction during 2012 elections, has been accused of anti-Semitism, and party leader Oleh Tyahnybok has come under heavy criticism for a speech accusing a “Muscovite-Jewish mafia” of ruling the country.

This is straight out of Kremlin propaganda book - to discredit a massive movement against Yanukovich by focusing on a small group of people and label the entire movement as “nazi”.

As for the Jews in Ukraine, they’re as split as the rest of the population. There are those that are standing on the Maidan. There are business, political and cultural leaders who work alongside those you label as “nazi”. That’s one group of Jews; the other group of Jews don’t have a clue what it’s about because they’re on the outside looking in. They’re buying into what’s on the Russian TV because it’s feeding into their Cossack/Bandera/Ukrainian phobia.

In reality, sodomites (as one gentleman here suggested) and Jews is not what this rebellion is about at all.

“This is straight out of Kremlin propaganda book”

THIS comes straight from Jewish Telegraphic Agency and The World Jewish Congress !

“World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder in a referenced a recent ceremony near Lviv marking the 70th anniversary of the creation of the Galician division of the Waffen SS, in which Ukrainians fought on the side of Nazi Germany.

“I was horrified to see photographs of young Ukrainians wearing the dreaded SS uniform with swastikas clearly visible on their helmets as they carried the caskets of members of the Galician division of the Waffen SS, a Nazi unit, lowered their remains into their new graves, and fired gun salutes in their honor. ”

In late July, Ukrainians wearing SS uniforms were photographed trudging through trenches and firing rifles in a reconstruction of a key battle against the Soviets during World War II. An Orthodox priest led a ceremony for fallen soldiers of the Nazi unit, sprinkling his blessing over several men sporting swastikas who lowered a coffin in a ritual reburial.

Some 800,000 Jews were murdered during the Holocaust in what is now Ukrainian territory. They were killed by German troops and Ukrainian auxiliaries who gathered the Jews, guarded them, and in many instances participated in their killing, according to the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem.

Stop your bull..t. The ukrainian national-socialist party (10.4% votes in 2012, 36 seats in parliment), which was rebaptized “svoboda”, is openly antisemitic.
