It's not going so well in Sochi .... aside from the fact that this stuff is happening to journalists (ha ha), I hope the athletes will be treated better, although there is currently a pillow roundup going on with the residents because there aren't enough pillows for the athletes.

Good grief, it’s really something when right is on the side of an authoritarian like Putin’s fight against the fascist/homo lobby. We’ve become one sick country.

I do not care who we send as long they are the best atheletes we have. The United States did not balk sending blacks to the 1936 Olympics when
Jesse Owens kicked the master- race Nazis in track and field. We should not do so again. The 1980 olympics was a shame and the same thoughts are running around Washington now.
