Firefighters are wonderful people, and some are corrupt and lazy, like in any other human community/endeavor. But this group, this Obama cheerleading media, they would love to tear down the character of firefighters and all good people in America. They hate America, as does their boss.

The day Obama at the SOTU, puts up an active MOH or Bronze Star recipient who, God bless al the wounded, does not look like a victim, but is praised for neutralizing bad guys, i’ll take it back

I think “Good Samaritan Laws” protect the good-intentioned but untrained. A trained EMT might not have such protection.

My father used to be head of Civil Defense back home, many years ago. From time to time he was responsible for sending out the volunteer firemen. He made sure to dispatch them, so that the township's insurance would cover them. I don't know what would have happened had there been a call from across the street from the fire department. I figure he'd have found some way to cover them if they went to help.
