so where did that $800 billion go? If there were no “shovel-ready projects”, what DID they spend it on?

My Basset Hound is smarter than our current _Resident.

(And equally as much of a life-long MOOCHER!)

“Smart” is one of those terms that has several different meanings.

In the common idiom, “smart” is sometimes wrongly used as s synonym for “intelligent” or “learned”.

More often, “smart” refers to a very keen eye for dress and mannerisms, presenting a polished and highly developed sense of appropriateness for the occasion, especially in a formal setting, and is immediately noted by all the connoisseurs in the room.

“Smart” may also refer to the sharpness of pain from an injury that abrades or opens a cut on the skin, but not necessarily a deep injury, only one that triggers a lot of undesirable sensations and possibly an outcry.

And sometimes “smart” is reserved for the wise-guy response, the arrogant braggery that goes with an overly inflated ego, the worked up quick retort, that sometimes leads to a fat lip or black eye.

Pick the one that applies to this particular situation.

We had a project here in Louisville. A 1.1 miles extension of a four lane highway. It was estimated at 4.6 million and 6 months. It actually cost 57.4 million and took 26 months.

Most of it went to bail out states that had depleted their unemployment and pension funds. If you live in a state that wasn’t spendthrift, you got squat. It was once pointed out that, for the money spent on that fiasco, we should have around 150 Golden Gate bridges or 25 Hoover Dams.

That didn't work somehow...

You could argue all day over who the brightest was, but dumbest is easy. The last ruler of an advanced state who you could compare with Bork Obunga would be Steven the Stupid of Stupiland...

Biden said he was clean and articulate. Nothing about smart, but now I am getting curious about his personal hygiene.

Over $100,000.00 went to teach African men to wash their genitalia. $11 million went to buy clothes for job interviews. $148,000.00 went to one store in Detroit that provided clothes for just TWO people. Billions went to teach people to work in green energy fir jobs that never existed. Money was used to pay for wind mills built in China and Spain.
