Democrats have posted their largest lead on the Generic Congressional Ballot since early November, while Republicans have fallen to their lowest level of support in a year.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey for the week ending January 19 finds that 41% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Democrat in their districts congressional race if the election were held today, unchanged from the previous week. Thirty-five percent (35%) would choose the Republican instead, down two points from the previous survey. The Democrats have now led for three weeks in a row....
The national telephone survey of 3,500 Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports from January 13-19, 2014. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

That’s pure b.s.
The Republican War on Women will sweep the battlefield again.
Thank God for Gerrymandering. We will keep the House.
Nice try, but I’m going to wait and hear what Carl Rove thinks. Then I’ll know without a doubt. :)
Perhaps the company health insurance mandate will knock them down. Also, unless they do it state by state, its not a great indicator.
Not surprising, really. The GOPe is walking away from the base, and that’s bound to cause the Generic number to sag. It’ll go down a lot farther, and we will lose the House if the leadership doesn’t change their ways. All we can do about it is support our conservative local candidates.
Christie effect ? Media has been pounding it.
With Obamacare how is this possible?
The GOP fails to distinguish itself from the democrats. Note the huge number that wouldn’t vote for either, 24%.
.... keep it up GOP ... the Democrat Party is depending on ya .... and hey .... they love ya for it.
Carl Rasmussen turned over his company to Scott his son. Scott sold it... to a dim company.
I, for one, believe these statistics are true. The party of evil and death has a working majority of Americans. We are now in the sights of God’s wrath. We have a majority of people who subsist on gov’t handouts, entitlements and victimhood. Just like the children of Israel we have lost our 1st love. Expect more natural and manmade disasters as we continue to immerse ourselves in post-modernism.
Easy.
41% backs Obama no matter what. Even if Obama initiated mass collection and execution of millions of Americans in death camps, they'd still support him -- in fact, he might even trend up.
On the other side, since the GOPe has told conservatives to pound sand, the Republican number is nearly halved.
41% + 35% = 76%.
Where's the other 24%?
That is you, and me.
That’s probably true ...
Push poll. Agitprop.

Some retro-types here say we may never see a fair election again: b/c new electronic voting machines are hackable, controllable, and can be manipulated by crooked Dem pols.........
That stuff is old hat. Dems no longer screw around with pedestrian "vote-tampering." They mobilize the full force of the government to harass and destroy conservative opposition.
In fact, Dems openly attribute that they did not do worse in 2012 b/c of their ability to use the IRS to suppress these groups.
One WSJ writer pointed out, the Dems used reverse engineering...analyzing what was most successful in destroying conservative groups, and then writing it into current law.
And what's more astounding is that Dems are heralded by the Entitlement Crowd for this so-called "ability"----it's why Boobamba seems unconcerned as 2014-16 approach.
The dems walk in lockstep because they brook no dissent, not least from their own. I know this because I used to be one and the pressure to go along with the program even in the face of scandal and failure finally woke me up.
We’re just a couple of elections away from tyrannical one party government.
Good analysis, but disheartening.
