How do you explain him and McConnell being behind the attacks on Ted Cruz, handing talking points to questioners and such?
This guy is like Orrin Hatch. He is conservative around election time, but when the chips are down, he serves McConnell loyally, and we all know exactly what Mitch is about.
He’s not the worst. Not in the category of Linda Gayham or Juan McLame, or that idiot from Arkansas, but Cornyn just isn’t prepared to fight for principles.
Why did Inhofe stand up to support Cruz, but Cornyn didn’t bother?

I believe that Heritage currently lists him as the #9 most conservative Senator, which seems to be closer to my perception of the truth. I haven’t considered Cornyn to be conservative since he was the RSC chair and backed Arlen Specter over Toomey. Specter later changed parties and became a ‘Rat. Anybody that would support Specter over Toomey is not a conservative in my view.
