Yet, as Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, he
hand-selected these "Republican" candidates:

• Arlen Specter - Democrat
• Charlie Crist - Democrat
• Lincoln Chafee - Democrat
• Lisa Murkowski - Independent

Also, when he had a chance to stop ObamaCare by supporting Ted Cruz' filibuster
he FAILED
and hid behind a meaningless vote later.

How do you explain him and McConnell being behind the attacks on Ted Cruz, handing talking points to questioners and such?

This guy is like Orrin Hatch. He is conservative around election time, but when the chips are down, he serves McConnell loyally, and we all know exactly what Mitch is about.

He’s not the worst. Not in the category of Linda Gayham or Juan McLame, or that idiot from Arkansas, but Cornyn just isn’t prepared to fight for principles.
Why did Inhofe stand up to support Cruz, but Cornyn didn’t bother?

He DISAGREED with Ted Cruz. As did Rand Paul. He knew the Democrats would not break ranks. They didn't. He knew that even if they had, Obama would NEVER have signed a bill overturning Obamacare and would veto it.

Excuse me! Cruz never conducted a filibuster. He MADE A DEAL with Harry Reid to talk for a pre-determined period of time on the floor of the Senate. Rand Paul was against the government shutdown to defund it and spoke out against it all over the place.
