What you say is probably true of North America. But in places like Africa, where the disease is rampant, a great deal of contagion is heterosexual.
And they are also frequently married and middle class.

Polygamy is much more common in Africa than the media lets on; they were disappointed that the current president of South Africa was open about his polygamy (they had been pretending South Africans were just like Americans, with a different language).
