Well I won’t be sniggering or giggling at him the day he has to bow the knee before God in the Great White Throne Judgement. If I’m aware of it, I’ll be deeply, deeply sad and sorry for him. God says He’ll wipe away our tears (Christians), so I don’t think I’ll be aware of it, or I’d definitely have sorrow and tears for him.
Bill Nye is not an authority on any aspect of science. He has a bachelor's engineering degree which he received a number of years ago, and which he has never really used in any applied setting. There is also no evidence that he's made any effort to keep whatever scientific training he ever received current, beyond perhaps reading fiction magazines like Popular Science.
Many of his "scientific" pronouncements are nonsense, quite a few laughably so. What he knows of Quantum Mechanics he seems to have learned from The Dao of Physics or some other execrable popular source.
The fact that Leftists would parade such a non-entity as an authority tells you all you need to know about the disregard in which they hold actual scientific inquiry, and their own scientific sophistication.
Bill Nye is a jerk, a moron, and a know nothing. So, a perfect spokesman for left-wing causes.
What did you expect? Harris Perry is a washed up, blubbering racist with less brain cells than Al Sharpton... and Nye is a relic of that weird period where people who weren’t part of the T.V. ‘in-crowds’ made their money on the margins as entertainers for children.
Just so everyone is aware, Nye does not appear to have a degree or any kind of education in the fields he is wheeled out to discuss as if he’s some kind of expert, be it biology or climatology. He has a degree in mechanical engineering...
And don’t think I’m engaging in academic idol worship. I know degrees are hyped up to be something they’re not, but when people bring out this man as if he is some sort of professor... HE’S NOT! He’s a fraud, the man is Wonder Bread pretending to be a Shepherd Loaf, and his sneering demeanor and bizarre bow tie fetish are all the more reason to switch over whenever he’s brought onto a show.
In his case he is playing to the snotty hipster millennials, whose “ironic” fawning over him as some science genius that they watched as little kids, has even made him believe their BS.
Those brats have turned into Christian-bashing loons masquerading as “atheists”, and he is right in there for all the “likes”, “+1”, and $$$ that he can milk.

But the left are not the only ones who venerate this man as some kind of science Jesus. He’s everywhere seemingly, as an expert in all fields! The mantra is ever-present “Bill Nye the science guy! Bill Nye the science guy!”
Nobody seems to know that he isn’t a scientist at all. And nobody seems to care.
