It really upsets me that everyone on FR mocks MSNBC. They are doing magnificent things. For example, they hire the mentally challenged and even give them shows which help boost their self esteem.
Some of these people even get the opportunity to try other things. Look at Keith Olbermann. He was given the opportunity to try sports broadcasting. Given, he wasn’t very good at it but look what it did for his self worth.
Global warming? Ha! There’s 6” of it in my yard and it’s burning cold. Does that count?
Realtemp here is -7. Yeah, it’s warming up something fierce. Better break out the suntan lotion and umbrella.
More snow here by Sunday and then next week...we’re talking -20 with wind chill. The cars will need blankets.
Rumor has it that Al Gore will be the guest of honor for the Green Bay play off game this Saturday
Lol.
I hadn’t either, and also googled him.
And you are right. He does.
-20 is our expected high temperature on Sunday. Wind chill expected to be -50 to -60.
It’s not climate change, it’s global warming that they are pushing.
Climate change is called seasons and weather.
“SNOW WILL BE A THING OF THE PAST”
Liar. Someone certainly did say it would never get cold... frickin liar!
Hadn't noticed. We import our water from places that are freezing now.
Herein lies the complete obstinacy of this movement, and I call it a movement (rather than a scientific theory) because it seeks political change.
What this MsNBCer doesn't seem to get, or refuses to acknowledge, is that this entire parody of science started when a few scientists started to observe and record upticks in global (and regional) temperature increases. Indeed, up until about 5-7 years ago the term used by everyone was global warming, not global climate change.
Now, as more long term data is collected, representing a greater statistically significant sample size than previously collected, we are seeing that at best, for their argument, the results are mixed. (At worst, if anything, cooling is observed).
This is precisely why the name of the "phenomenon" has changed from global warming to global climate change. The original proponents (and their fans) are trying to cover their backside, backtrack and save a doomed "theory" from the start (much like when confronted with more and more evidence of a heliocentric system, more and more complex mathematical descriptions were devised to keep the geocentric model afloat).
It's the Titanic and it's going down by the head. All of these word games are going to catch up to them eventually, and it will all collapse under its own weight, at least as far as any link to Man's activity is concerned.
So it's not us, Chris Hayes, who refuse to acknowledge facts. It's you who are being the Luddite here, refusing to accept that reality itself is proving the original theory wrong. The "rationale" to keep this absurdity going is akin to saying, "Yes, we thought the earth would get warmer because of dirty man, but now we are saying it's going to get cooler before it gets warmer, and we know this because it got warmer before it got cooler".
There's no Logic here, but then again this is liberalism. No logic required, just a new fad to distract the masses from the real agenda, which is centralized control over all.
It’s going down to -26 here in Mpls./St.Paul Sunday night. Monday’s high is predicted to be -17. Not looking forward to that at all.
Isn’t GoreBull warming grand?
It’s 7 degrees F where I am and I love it.
I love my 4 seasons.
.
Once again this proves the old adage-to anger a conservative, tell them a lie. To anger a liberal, tell them the truth.
Being on the wrong side of history is better then being on the wrong side of the geological record.
Ah! Wonderful! I just got my breakfast condiments.... liberal tears of anguish!
(snicker)
Just wait till you get arthritis.
BTW, I live about 45 minutes from a ski resort and 45 minutes from the beach. I can get all 4 seasons on the same day.
