SILENCE OF THE LAMBS: GOP ESTABLISHMENT REMAINED NEUTRAL ON 'DUCK DYNASTY' CONTROVERSY
Breitbart ^ | 12/28/13 | Tony Lee

Posted on 12/29/2013 8:58:34 AM PST by rhema

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Republican Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, and Sen.Ted Cruz (R-TX) emphatically defended Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson from the moment he was suspended by A&E for supposedly anti-gay remarks. The suspension provoked a relentless outpouring of support online, which pressured A&E to reinstate Robertson on Friday.

Palin, Jindal, and Cruz's support was in contrast to the silence of the Republican establishment, its leadership, and the Republican National Committee. The latter focused instead on Kwanzaa and promoting amnesty, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of working class Americans, many of whom make up the bulk of the Duck Dynasty audience.

[ . . . ]

Palin, Cruz, and Jindal were repeatedly mentioned in stories in the mainstream media about Robertson. In contrast, the Republican establishment organizations and D.C. figureheads were ducking for cover and nowhere to be found, reinforcing the suspicions of the "Teavengelical" base that has always suspected that the Republican elite on the coasts and in D.C. disdains them and their "flyover country" values.

Not unusual for the major parties, etc. As a rule they aren't going to jump into
something really controversial if they sit by and let it fade away. Generally they
don't like to create controversy. JMO.

His little tits were all a quiver and she was orgasmic about obamacare.

ream-ass is such a fag, he makes debbie waterfront shitz look almost normal.

There was no “controversy” at all. The Robertsons and A&E never came close to parting ways - too much money was on the line. The Robertsons and A&E both got millions of dollars of free pub over this non-event.

Did I miss my cue? Was I supposed to care what the Whigs so-called “think?”

Conservatives must be aware, the GOP establishment, after the ruling in Utah, is speeding up its process of ‘evolving’ on this issue under the delusion that they won’t win elections otherwise.
The narrative is being parroted by the likes of Charles Krauthammer and others on Fox, that it’s ‘only a matter of time’.

2014 is literally the last shot at taking back the GOP from its suicidal advisory goon squad. This requires conservative victories up and down the ballot to HUMILIATE Karl Rover and the RNC.

One of the most important races in this regard is the primary to face Kay Hagan in North Carolina. Rove is all behind the toll-loving abomination RINO that is Thom Tillis.
We need http://gregbrannon.com/ to win that primary and give Rove a bloody nose.

Just as the worm is starting to turn on the homosexualists, with their global losses in Russia, India, Australia, Uganda, and Nigeria, we cannot allow the Republican Party to buckle and remove this from its platform, and I GUARANTEE that is what the establishment intends to do in 2016.

If the RNC removes the pro-family plank from its platform, I will NEVER vote Republican again, no matter who is on the ticket.

I saw the RNC’s Kwanzaa message.

Seriously, does anyone in this country pay attention to a ersatz creation like Kwanzaa? I have black friends who seem to be paying no mind at all to it.

In the GOP we have a political party based on the premise of not offending anyone - except it’s own base.

No need for the GOPe to worry. Just stay invisible till Oct 2014 and ocassionally emerge to insult conservatives. Those conservatives are just a handful of backwoods nobodies, anyway. When election time comes around, tens of millions of Chamber of Commerce members and big donors will ensure they win in landslides across the nation. /sarc

Meanwhile, conservatives, who DO number in the tens of millions, are not waiting around to see what new harm is coming their way. Tea party thinkers are supporting good politicians and criticizing the bad ones. They are putting money and time into supporting freedom and communicating in-person and using technology. They are fighting against insults and exposing lies.

Conservative, traditional organizations are winning or at least stopping assaults—the NRA and related 2nd amendment organizations have been vocal and in a series of amazing victories, have even tossed out or scared away immoral politicians in Colorado. They did this despite the immense opposition of wealthy leftists. Regular Americans can win.

It really isn’t. Important if the Republicans get involved with a reality show dispute. There are more important fish to be fried. Keep your eyes on what is important.

The GOP is dead, LONG LIVE THE TEA PARTY.

After this latest 2 year surrender/back stabbing budget, there is no reason to support the GOP. .....Lets not forget the GOP had the White HOuse, the House and Senate FOR 6 YEARS and couldn’t even ......... BUILD A FENCE?

And Kirstin Powers claims she is a born again Christian. If so, she’s one with little to no knowledge of what is actually written in the bible.

gop/e are cowards of the worst kind... democrats... as evil and as hate-filled as they are... as evil as they all are... and this is not building them up but comparing the two... have more integrity because they are committed to satan and his way but the gop blows with the wind and to paraphrase Dylan... I don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows... not for the gop/e... they drop sail and trou and look for a neutral direction in which decisions and stands are unnecessary. Like I said... cowards!
