You knew it would happen sooner or later. An outspoken, wildly popular, conservative Christian who doesn’t give a hoot – or in this case, a quack – about political correctness would air his views about homosexuality, and overnight, Hollywood hell would break loose.

To catch you up on the latest events, earlier this week, the text of Phil Robertson’s interview withGQ Magazine was released online,

Possessing and voicing traditional family values, much which are based in religion is considered unacceptable in Obama's America.

But advocating for the despicable act of two men engaging in the vile act of anal sex is not.

Welcome to Obama's America.

“Political correctness” is the first tool of all totalitarian societies. It is at best philosophical suicide and at worst mind control.

I wouldn’t refer to a form of mental illness as a culture.

Two thoughts:

1.Whatever possessed him to do an interview with GQ?

2. The very recent federal court ruling which suggests that polygamy make in fact be legal..( or rather, that the states have no legal right to prevent it) actually bears witness to the point that Phil was making..

Yes. I expected this. Living Christian faith out loud makes Hollywood and the DC/NY pundits uncomfortable. Having anti-Christians with pro-homosexual proclivities in the current Whitehouse and Congress was bound to hit head-on with the majority of Americans sometime. Might as well be now. Pray harder folks.

See, you think that’s hypocritical, that they say nothing about Islamists’ views of homosexuality.

It’s only hypocritical if you accept their implied premise of opposing religious arguments against homosexuality,

when in reality, the whole issue is flipped over.

They don’t hate Christians because they love gays.
They promote gays because they hate Christians.

Homos are the weapon to get Christianity criminalized.

I’m not a big fan of the show (a couple of episodes were fun, and that was enough) but this is ridiculous. The guy was being interviewed and gave honest answers...and it was not an “anti-gay rant,” as described in the press...and now they’re being subject to ostracism by the entire world?

Gays are a tiny percentage of any population. How have they gotten so much power?

It makes no difference how big your population is, it’s the share of your group amongst the means of cultural production that is important.

I reckun swamp folks have as much right to speak their piece.. They are as connected to reality as anyone.. Their lives are dangerous due to the use of varied weaponry to dispense game and varmint,, but by their nature they are blessed too.

Just goes to show, don’t shove a mic in front of a red neck duck calling mud-faced patriot, ya never know what they might say to piss ya off. Just handle it is my best advice.

Unfortunately there are too many cerebrally-challenged people in this country to understand that simple cause and effect. Some posters here were saying that this wasn’t stifling free speech because Phil willingly worked for A&E. Obviously, if Phil said “allah want’s me to shoot all homos” they would just chuckle and preen, but since it’s the dreaded Bible...he has to be silenced. When it is twerking or whatever and decent people are offended...the same people say “Deal with it”!

“He belongs in a re-education camp. (14%)”

Apparently, in their ignorance of modern history, 14% of respondents accidentally reveled their true totalitarian natures.

So, 14% are stupid enough to say that rural hunting folk need to be sent off to the camps...

I wonder how that will go on the third or fourth door they kick down...
