One of the boats can clearly be seen in the water at the Bostanu shipyard on the Strait of Hormuz in Astrium imagery taken on 27 October. It measures 40.5 m long and 4 m wide at the waterline.

A second can be seen under construction at the Bandar Anzali Naval Base on the Caspian Sea on 17 September. It is partially shrouded by scaffolding, but is approximately 48 m long and 6 m wide.

The Iranians were observed applying the final coats of flex seal. 40’ long, what was their old class, a wash tube with a over head reflective mirror.

How much bigger does it need to be to be able to float into a harbor and set off a nuke?

They tried to pass off a fiberglass boat as a stealth fighter. What’s this? A culvert?

At great risk to my personal safety, I was able to smuggle out this photo of their submarine. I also discovered that it's propulsion system works with highly refined baking powder.

Probably suicide ships like the C.S.S. Hunley.

It [the new Iranian submarine class] measures 40.5 m long and 4.0 m wide at the waterline. That translates to a boat 132.9 feet long by 13.1 feet in beam. My guess is it is a coastal boat.

For a comparison, the German Type 212A air independent propulsion [AIP] diesel electric boat is 57.2 m (187.7 feet) × 7.00 m (23 feet). The Type 212A is state-of-the-art and it is well suited for blue water [open ocean] operations. The Iranian boat is suited only for local operations.

Looks like a toy. It’s also a lovely azure color. It could be a minor threat if it has an AIP drive system and manned by Islamist martyer-types

Beam measured at the waterline is deceptive for submarines. Even while surfaced the midline of the hull would be well below the surface. Given the curvature of the hull — I can believe 4M at the waterline.
