Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president. Daily results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t there a political strategist or columnist who once said that any president who gets down into the 30s becomes an albatross on his party among others and becomes “dangerous” in general?

If you look at the internals his approval among whites is just about to drop into the 20’s (currently sitting at 30%) if it wasn't for his 86% approval among blacks and 49% among Hispanics, he would already be sitting at approval numbers that we haven't been seen since Nixon's last days...
