*”We will own this problem forever,” the Democrat wrote.*

There should be a stone monument in Washington that says that on a gold plaque.

Reid, pelosi and Obama should have to wear a sign that says that around their necks for all the days that they collect a government check. Not to be removed under penalty of law.

Quote of the Year:

“I was all for Obamacare, until I found out I was paying for it.”

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

In other words, “I was hoping those evil Republicans and patriots would have to pay. Not ME!”

"In his story, reporter Chad Terhune also quoted a letter sent to a California insurance company executive. "I was all for Obamacare," wrote a young woman complaining about a 50 percent rate hike related to the health care law, "until I found out I was paying for it."

This line sums up liberals in a nutshell. Help the poor? Help the indigent? I'm all for it as long as I don't have to pay....

Every working stiff will be affected. Even those on company insurance will feel it through taxation.

It is beyond my how clueless those Obama voters were in 2008. I saw through his BS but supposedly intelligent co-workers bought it.

I think it was the Xanax and / or other personality changing pharmaceuticals.

For the sake of our country, I hope that Democrats cease to be a Party

Consequences have to affect those who made the decisions leading to the consequences in order for it to be an “excellent teacher”.

Yes they will. Rates are going up everywhere, they’ve been increasing the past couple of years and the deductables have been getting higher. People have had to buy “gap” plans that most employers don’t cover. In other words, employers are paying more and employees are paying more. Eventually employers will stop providing insurance. They are going to be required to report premiums on employee W-2’s. Now what could that possibly mean? Can you say taxable income?

My concern is all too many people will just accept it. Just like they have done with $3.00+ per gallon gasoline.

A lot of grumbling and complaining but no consequences to the elected class responsible.

Rs should DEMAND immediate REPEAL, and commitment to work with Dems to negotiate a BIPARTISAN replacement. When D.C. gets around to thinking about that, the Ds numbers will be slimmed out, so market based reforms will win out.

"These middle-class consumers are staring at hefty increases on their insurance bills as the overhaul remakes the healthcare market. Their rates are rising in large part to help offset the higher costs of covering sicker, poorer people who have been shut out of the system for years."

Middle class consumers better start making the mental connection between this disaster and the next one barrelling down the tracks at them - Amnesty.

There has been a transfer of wealth going on in this nation since at least the 1960s.

The great society was just the beginning.

What we see in Obamacare is the jewel in the left’s crowning glory of “equalizing” the people.

The one simple truth the opposition party (I specifically did not say Republican because I no longer believe they are the opposite of Democrats, the elite don’t care as long as they have gotten theirs). No an opposition party must point out that the government has no money of it’s own.

Everything it gives away, but first be taken (by force) from someone else.

The second thing that must be pointed out is governments seldom solve any problems, they just create new ones.

I am not anti-government, what I am against is big government.

Obamacare does two things, it transfers wealth and it controls the people. If you think they abused tax records wait until they have access to everyone’s health records.

And as an aside, how difficult would it be to deny someone healthcare if they did not vote the right way, or expressed an opinion the government did not like? Not possible, I disagree, it is not only possible but likely.

Will this be the final straw? I don’t know, but I do think we are getting close.

I saw that too.

As well as the partisan dig at the end of the article.

At some point, they pass the Rubicon...

You are correct. In the long term, this will not affect the lib's at all. They will just print money and increase the subsidies. And soon this mess will be accepted as normal, just like the federal income tax. Fed leviathan, absolutely.
