Hey! Just think about it! They come from China!

They should ban all food and medical products from China. We’ve seen too many of these horror stories from Chinese products.
And they should raise the import tariffs and put Americans back to work.
They should also restore the additional duties on goods delivered on non-American ships and rebuild the U.S. fleet.
Just think about where our chicken is fixing to come from!
You would think they would just ban the imported from China treats that are causing this, remember the baby food??
WHY aren’t they testing dogs for allergies to the ingredients in these treats? If there are no actual contaminants, it seems to me that would be the next logical step.

The scientists and veterinarians at the FDA are educated at the exact same schools as scientists and veterinarians who work in the private sector.
The FDA investigation into this matter is being conducted by several people of different disciplines. The inability to find the responsible contaminant makes me wonder if the treats are just guilty by association, and not the actual cause of the problems. It could be that the illnesses have various etiologies.
I do not think that most people appreciate just how difficult and time-consuming an epidemiological investigation is. In this case, if the treats are not the problem, then extensive testing on them is delaying the identification of the real problem.
Had it not been for China's mass slaughter of chickens, they probably wouldn't even have conceived of making chicken jerky treats for dogs.
It’s very easy to make jerky for your dogs with a cheap food dehydrator. I take London Broil and cut it into thin strips and dry it until it has the consistency of leather. Just the beef; nothing else added. My Sheltie loves it, and it’s also good for his teeth. Two pounds of London Broil make about 70 treats; price about $10 in my area.
Just do like most of us everday joes and feed the dog table scraps. Environmentally friendly...blah...blah..blah...(except for the gas attacks.:>)
Mix it with cheap WalMart dogfood.
That, my friends, is a happy, long-life dog. It's those $60 dog foods that kill.
