Like bacon, butter is one of nature’s perfect foods. Yummy.

Good or bad,a juicy steak accompanied by a heavily buttered baked potato is something I'll always enjoy.

WE don’t allow oleo in our home. It’s butter or nothing.

Butter ain't bad. It's one of the major food groups.

Like margaritas.

The real tragedy here is that the butter "alternative" foisted upon us by health Nazis, to wit, margarine, is actually hazardous to your health. A stick of margarine is basically a stick of hydrogenated "trans-fat". Not really a food at all but something artificial.

Butter is natural and much preferable to margarine (and olive oil is even better).

Yep, when I was young I ate margarine instead because they told us it was healthier than butter is, and it turned out to be worse.

Butter is the best source of conjugated linoleic acid available.

Butter is essential to our diet, as is carnitine.

I recommend that all leftist food NAZI lay off of butter.

We only use butter in our house - for cooking, baking and on toast, mashed potatoes, etc. NO MARGARINE!!!

Thank God, we haven’t had margarine in the house for at least 40 years. We eat plenty of butter, and I eat a bit of bacon. And I occasionally fry stuff in olive oil.

My cardiologist told me “You can quit smoking (I already had). You can cut out the fats. You can exercise. But you can’t help who your daddy is. I told him I didn’t want to take statins and he said that was fine with him. I take niacin.

I can remember when margarine was touted as the healthy alternative to butter (which as it turned out, was not the case at all).

As for me, I maintain moderation remains the key in most things. I probably couldn’t get away with eating six sticks a day for breakfast (and wouldn’t want to, to be honest). But I’m not gonna stop enjoying butter on corn on the cob or slathered on a wedge of hot, home-made soda bread once in a while.

I never fell for that “margarine” marketing. Always used butter and still do. Guess I had “Common Sense” then, too : )
