France and Mexico demand answers over US spying (“deeply shocked”)

PARIS — France and Mexico have angrily demanded prompt explanations from the United States over new spying allegations leaked by former US security contractor Edward Snowden.

French daily Le Monde and German weekly Der Spiegel said in separate reports published Monday that the US National Security Agency (NSA) secretly monitored tens of millions of phone communications in France and hacked into former Mexican president Felipe Calderon’s email account.

The allegations come on top of revelations already leaked by Snowden and published in June that the US had a vast, secret program called PRISM to monitor Internet users, which French prosecutors are already investigating.

French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said he was “deeply shocked” by the revelations and demanded an explanation from US authorities.

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said Paris was entitled to feel outraged. “I understand the outrage and the anger in France at spying actions wholeheartedly – that is not how it should work between partners, between friends.”

Tell Mexico if they recall their millions of spies, we’ll apologize.

In another time, these would have been considered acts of war.

Today,30 million of Mexico's filthiest parasites and criminals are living here illegally...and they're demanding US citizenship. As long as that's true my answer to Mexico is "go bleep yourself".

To France I say..."if you can tell us that every French "diplomat","businessman","tourist" and "student" that comes to US has refrained from violating our espionage laws we *might* give you an explanation".

Nothing we won't spy on and leverage for our advantage.

Including our own citizens.

We live in a police state.

The French spy on everyone—including the USA—They are just better at keeping secrets. Like the Russians They give their spies the right to kill people deemed Enemies of France. They are really good at making them look like aciddents. If you betray France—you can go to the farthest ends of the earth but you will become “accident Prone”.

“The French spy on everyone—including the USA”

According to an FBI briefing I attended their spies are civil service. When the cold war ended they couldn’t fire them. So, they repurposed them to spy on mostly American companies. They stole technology and gave it to French companies which are treated differently than the American government treats American companies. It’s a very close, incestuous relationship. I worked for a subsidiary of Schlumberger. They essentially told the French military what it was going to buy. (French equipment is mostly cr*p.)

Note that French aerospace companies have thousands of men devoted to researching US stealth technology.

We are spying on Mexico? Why...so we can make sure they mow down Ameicans with the guns provided by Obama and Holder?

We sure aren’t spying on illegal aliens at the Mexican border?

France and Mexico. Two countries I utterly despise. The only positive France has is some of their women are drop-dead gorgeous. The only positive Mexico has is...well, confined strictly to some geological features.

I am shocked also.
What the heck is worth spying on in France or Mexico?
I guess on a positive note, a few less resources spying on American citizens in this Country...

Mexico is shocked about this? We sold your worst criminal organizations dozens of “assault” rifles, grenades, shoulder fired rockets and the best night vision goggles our DoD has and over 300 of your citizens, cops and Federales were murdered with the guns alone. And you’re shocked about spying? Really?

They’re all enemies. Some are less hostile than others.
