Feds to Furloughed Employees: Checking Gov't Email During Shutdown a 'Criminal Offense'
The Weekly Standard ^ | October 7, 2013 | JERYL BIER

Posted on 10/07/2013 4:32:54 AM PDT by don-o

A notice posted on the website of the Small Business Administration (SBA) warns furloughed employees that it is a "criminal offense" to use federal resources during the furlough period, including accessing government email accounts. Although the notice is directed to SBA employees, presumably the directive is applicable to furloughed employees of all government agencies. The full notice reads as follows:

Please be advised, during the furlough period, non-excepted employees will no longer be permitted to utilize SBA email or other federal resources. Please know that use of federal resources while on furlough status is prohibited by law and is considered a criminal offense. Employees must NOT represent the agency in any formal or informal capacity.

gee, imagine a government with an inherent fear disdain or hatred for most of its citizens, that shows authoritarian attitude toward uppity resisters to central control and regards federal powers including law as a tool to punish

Now give that govt control of everyone’s internet access and their healthcare

Obama’s administration is insane, asinine craziness run amok.

Well, at least it's an opportunity to expand our vocabulary. I enjoys seeing the word "petulant" used.

pet·u·lant ˈpeCHələnt/ adjective adjective: petulant

1. (of a person or their manner) childishly sulky or bad-tempered. "he was moody and petulant"

synonyms: peevish, bad-tempered, querulous, pettish, fretful, cross, irritable, sulky, snappish, crotchety, touchy, tetchy, testy, fractious, grumpy, disgruntled, crabby;

Is it just wishful thinking on my part, or has Barry’s *petulant* behavior this time around resulted in a public attitude more sympathetic to the House and less sympathetic to the Administration than was the case during Clintoon’s shutdown?

Does that apply to the EPA director checking fake e mail accounts?

Just goes to show us that all those "shadow" accounts were merely thoughtful planning for the future. If there was a shutdown preventing them from working, which is currently the case, there would be e-mail accounts from which they could continue to work for the American People. The sole rationale for these untraceable accounts is for them to keep doing the good work they are employed to do!

Shut down their money supply and watch the whole house of cards collapse as everybody jumps ship. I bet an examination of 0’s financal portfolio would yield some very interesting “relationships”.
