As I said...this isn’t about people having healthcare....the hardship list on this thread pretty much exempts the same low life this “Law” was suppose to cover...

Can you believe someone is exempt if they have domestic abuse...or a shut off notice on a utility.......???

This BEAST is going to require everyone have an accountant and an attorney! Otherwise everyones going to be racked over the coals!

yes- available in every state- it’s not insurance- but it is a cost-sharing plan..I guess that’s what you’d call it.I have been with Samaritan for @ 20 years and all my expenses with my cancer were paid for around 40K.
the websites are- samaritanministies.org
chhealthcare.org
mychristiancare.org
my husband and son are with Christian healthcare..it is for Christians, though- you have to have it verified you attend church, etc. Hope this helps

Until August this year when my youngest son turned 26, my premium was $308 every two weeks. The deductible per person, per year is $3500. I never go to the doctor, so I hadn't paid a penny of deductible this year. My wife prodded me to get the followup colonoscopy that was due two years ago. Hers was due too. His and hers colonoscopies. $7000 out of pocket for the part the insurance didn't cover. Mine went bad 10 days later. I have no idea what the emergency hospitalization is going to be yet.

All that goodness is piled on a sequestration forced "vacation" where I burned all of the 509 hours of vacation that has accrued over 21 years with my company. I had to cut the "burn rate" for the vacation to 32 hours/week from mid-July to last Friday to make it last. The contract was awarded last week. I resume working tomorrow morning.

So what exactly does that mean..”special enrollment”....is that not still saying people have to sign up?

I’m asking all these questions because I work in retail and so many there are not going to sign up....

I also dis covered that PA. thus far has ‘NOT’ expanded their Medicade program which ties in with this...states are all going to have their own rules and regulations it appears....

Thus adding even more confusion to this beast!

Too bad it was only on Facebook. Nothing to punch in the face ;P

It's like Medicare. You are supposed to enroll during a certain time of year (Annual Enrollment Period). This keeps people from enrolling only upon need. There is also a special enrollment period triggered by certain events such as loss of coverage or changing life events like those listed this can happen at any time of the year.

To # 17. Your observations are right on. The “deductible” is what is going to kill the “exchange” insured.

$10,000 deductible? That’s about 1/4 of what I earn a year (job is only fundable at 30 hours a week, but does have good benefits and a much lower deductible plan).

I couldn’t afford health insurance under Obamacare nor could I afford to pay the fine because it would amount to less than one year’s cost of just one medicine I might have to take for years.

When Obama got advise from his communist physician and friend, Dr. Quentin Young, on how to create a national healthcare system, he recognized it for what it was, a plan to control the health of the American people. That is why he adopted it to his own theory for the marxist “transformation” of America.

If you can control the peoples’ health system as well as their food supply, communications - esp. the radio and TV, as well as the kind of fuel you use for transportation, heat and energy, then you can “transform” the country into whatever kind of marxist paradise you want.

Obama wasn’t raised “stupid”. He was raised “red”, and now we are paying for it.

My wife had many problems but we couldn’t afford any coverage until she reached 65. Then I bought a Medicare supplement policy for $150/month with $0 deductible and $0 everything else. I have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars this year alone.

Cobra is a lot. My husband was laid off and was offered to keep his insurance via Cobra and it was pricey about $700.00 per month luckily he got another position.
Interestingly enough for the Calif. exchange our insurance premium would be more than the Cobra and we would receive no subsidies.
The cost for my husband and myself according to the exchange would be $1154.00 a month this is for the silver plan. There is no way in hell we can afford that no way. We are currently covered through his employer and pay 100.00 a month if they take it away we will be without insurance and be paying a $1,000.00 penalty to boot. This is ridiculous.

Where can I find information on this? I may be interested and does it comply with the Obamacare rules?

No matter how bad it gets, the administration has two talking points ready:

(1)It would have been better if the Republicans hadn’t interfered!

(2)The “way out” is SINGLE PAYER!

Max, I’ve read the IRS can NOT garnish your bank accounts. They can only keep your refunds. And only a fool will have a refund coming.

funfan, its 1% the first year. It goes through the roof after that. They’ve got it fixed so the really bad stuff hits after the election. I have feeling Hillary may have to run on repealing obamacare.

She will run on a Single payer I bet which is basically the same thing but they will just take it right out of your paychecks like SS and all will be enrolled.
This whole thing is such a mess and it has got me really worried. I feel like becoming a deadbeat maybe I can get ahead that way. All the government does is take more and more of my property and liberty I have had enough of it something has got to give.

This is set up to crash. And it will be a crash like we could never imagine. Then McCain and Boner will get on TV, standing beside Obama, and say “We do not need to be changing leaders during this crisis. We will work with the president to save this great country.”
