The deal could be written so that she must give up a bigger fish in order to get off. If she tries to get immunity and gives nothing in return, the deal is void.

NO immunity for that arrogant, lying bureaucrat. She’s under subpoena and needs to tell all. The difference between testifying and answering all questions and refusing to testify is whether her prison term is 25 years or 15 years.

She swore, under oath, that there was nothing she did that she needs immunity from prosecution for. Screw her immunity, she doesn’t need it. Unless she lied when she swore she did nothing wrong.
I don’t know that immunity would be such a bad idea. The government ended up putting a lot of mobsters behind bars after Sammy the Bull squealed on John Gotti and La Cost Nostra.
Immunity, once offered, goes away if the witness tells even one lie, or withholds evidence.
If Lois Lerner tells the Committee what she has to say, and they decide that’s worth giving her immunity, she can’t go back on what she told them without losing her immunity.
I’d be in favor of letting her keep her worthless hide out of jail if she delivered the scalps of higher ups, especially in the White House.
I don’t know, but perhaps she would still be liable for civil damages against groups or individuals that she harmed. Immunity wouldn’t cover that.
