What a cruel but accurate prediction! We never thought we’d see such a low-quality character occupy the White House, but the Dependent Class sold their votes to their masters, with this horrible result. Then they complain that their shrinking take isn’t enough to live on....when they are living on a vastly diminished producing class. This malignant arrangement will not last forever, as we saw in Greece.

I think a better Menckenism for the Obama era is this definition: the Demagogue is one who speaks things he knows to be untrue to people he knows to be idiots.
That’s the Democrats formula for success in election season.
