When the reporter said, “African-American,” I hope that he or she was referring to people who were born in Africa. About 2/3 of Blacks, I know, dislike being called African-Americans. They know that, since a dictionary defintion of “African,” is “a resident of Africa,” an African-American must be anyone who was born in Africa, immigrated to the U.S., and became a U.S. citizen. This includes a few races, so whether someone is an African-American can’t be determined by his or her skin color.
