Billy Ray Cyrus has rushed to the defense of his pop star daughter Miley insisting that she has ''risen to a whole new level'' since her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
The 52-year-old actor and country singer said he is proud of his 20-year-old daughter and understands that she wants to leave her Disney image behind.

And he said he wished that "Hannah Montana" had never happened."The damn show destroyed my family," Cyrus told GQ magazine in an interview for its March edition. "I'd take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just everybody be okay, safe and sound and happy and normal would have been fantastic. Heck, yeah. I'd erase it all in a second if I could..."

"I'm scared for her," Cyrus said of Miley. "She's got a lot of people around her that's putting her in a great deal of danger. I know she's 18 but I still feel like, as her daddy, I'd like to try to help. Take care of her just a little bit, to at least get her out of danger.

This isn’t coincidence. The agents and tallent scouts run a system that was installed when Micheal Eisner was CEO of Disney starting in the mid eighties. The same guy that created “Disney Gay Day” gave us this.

I was unfortunate to have seen the show on YouTube when people in my family were watching it to see what all the hubbub was about. It was like a train wreck, you know you shouldn't look, but it's hard not to when it's right there. The only message in that show was “Look at me, Look at Me, LOOK AT ME!!!!!!”
So sad.
Whoever thought this loser would have the character to be a good father? No one is surprised that he is proud of his slutty daughter for getting so much press.
