In fact, tacticalogic has done yeoman work defending reason against a lot of nonsense.
YHAOS, you blow a lot of smoke to confuse issues, and sometimes refuse to answer simple, direct questions.
In fact, I have no particular problem with "heresy" per se, and I'm not "offended" by anything, but I am here to defend the truth against great stinking piles of nonsense, regardless of which horse it might be coming from...
;-)
FRiend, the question on the table here is whether there are disproportionate numbers of insults coming from yours truly, BroJoeK, toward our other posters, and I merely cite your example as evidence that is not the case.
Does anybody still disagree?
Oh so true, dear Kevmo and how depressing. Some people come here to have a serious discussion about serious issues. Others come to stage a food fight....
I'm with you Kevmo: Pace to the AdminMod who decided otherwise; but to me, Scientism clearly is a "religion," or at the very least a religion substitute.
Thank you for your excellent, perceptive essay/post!
Scientists discover double meaning in genetic code...
'-)
Thank you ever so much, dear brother in Christ, for the link!
but the worm must come from somewhere..
It's all quite wonderful really..
But I have seen no such attacks on the Founders on this thread, my friend. I think your claim to the contrary is a figment of your imagination.
My question remains unanswered: if you truly don’t wish to impose your own personal super-natural explanations on natural-science, then what exactly is your problem with science?

it is the atheist contingent which is showing a severe disrespect for science. In particular, the science behind historicity of one of the best attested events in all of history: That Jesus was put to death for the blasphemy of claiming equality with God. Even his enemies acknowledge the claim. There is no miracle to deny here, just simple history. But atheists with incredible idealogical blinders refuse to acknowledge a simple historical fact.
Who exactly is that?
Well, let’s see if you belong. Answer a simple historical question.
Do you accept that Jesus was put to death for blasphemy, claiming equality with God? Even his enemies acknowledge the claim.
Why isn't the question "Are you an atheist?"
Answer the question. I’ve dealt with you before. I know the answer.
And to be polite, I’ll answer your question:
Because that isn’t what I’m getting at. Read the post, see what it was about in terms of the science behind historicity of Jesus. Dancing around is just going to prove your intellectual dishonesty, so answer the question. Simple, historical, straightforward question.
It is, in your own words, exactly what you are getting at.
Dance all you want. It shows your disrespect for science by not answering a very simple historical question.
Why isn't the question "Are you an atheist?"
It doesn’t take long to see that you belong in that contingent. So, how is it that you supposedly uphold science in one hand when disputing christianity but throw out science in the other hand when it comes to a very simple historical fact? If I were debating someone who denied that Christopher Columbus ever sailed the ocean, it would be ridiculous. The same level of irrationality comes up with atheists who refuse to accept simple history.
Why isn’t the question “Are you an atheist?”
I already answered your question. You dance around mine.
It’s a simple demonstration of your dishonesty and irrational hypocrisy with respect to science.
