I knew quite a few gay people in my younger days in college and when I lived in NY and DC. Every problem I saw was self-inflicted: disease, addiction, extreme-promiscuity - and yes, violence.
I used to think I was “open-minded” about the “gay lifestyle” but after a while I saw that nearly all homosexuals had serious mental and physical problems and that this so-called lifestyle caused them to suffer greatly.

I never believed someone killed him for his homosexuality. Homos usually socialize with other homos. There had to be a connection and drugs fit the profile in my mind perfectly.
Several years ago I was interviewing an internship candidate who proudly proclaimed that she had worked on The Matthew Shepherd Project. It was little more than a pro-sodomite agitation group. She prattled for a while, then I asked her what she thought about the Jesse Dirkheising case, and she had never heard of it. I told her to go to the library and look it up, then come back to continue the interview.
