Hannity was conducting a forum involving 10 to 20 people. If he permits himself to interrupt or talk over a participant, what is the moral constraints upon any participant to refrain from interrupting and talking over? He must set the example to maintain good order and civility but he set precisely the wrong example.

He did not interrupt to keep a speaker from wandering way off topic or to prevent filibuster, he interrupted with questions as a debating tactic and every respondent has a right in a give-and-take situation to reject the tactic. The respondent can ignore the question or the respondent can raise his voice to talk over an interruption under those circumstances, which is exactly what the liberal students did. We think they were obnoxious because we don't like what they were saying but procedurally they were perfectly within their rights.

We have to address the reality that their universities, obviously more than the universities turning out the conservative kids in that forum, have succeeded in creating articulate leftists who were not easily intimidated in a television environment by a professional who has the highest rating television show on cable in his timeslot. This is a daunting proposition for conservatives and most of us would rather blame the kids than deal with the reality.

You are absolutely right in your commentary, they have the right to defend their opinions but not to disregard and manipulate the facts. The representative from Yale was particularly obnoxious, as he was adamant in praising Obama for holding the highest percentage of a decrease of the national deficit in the last 30 years. It is baffling to try and understand how the Yale student was led to his conclusion, considering that in 5 years under the Obama administration the national debt rose from $10 trillion to $17 trillion (Obama promise to cut the debt in half otherwise he will not seek re-election). When Bush left office his last budget deficit was $400 billion. In Obama’s first year as President he managed to raise the annual deficit to a $1.5 trillion, and he has continued to add close to that amount every year since then. The misery index record of the Carter administration was broken by Obama as a product of his failed socialist economic agenda. We have also more people in food stamps and disability that never before. Unemployment among young blacks is over 50% and over 35% among young Hispanics, the seeds for an explosion of social unrest have been planted.

That brunette lib in the top row was ultra typical of the libs I run into around Seattle. She wanted to talk over everyone on every issue and when she wanted to make a point she made up her own statistics.

I especially liked the whopper she told about a black friend who has been stopped and frisked over 200 times in four years.

I saw it and it was very obvious how truly ditzy the libs were. The girl on the front row almost reminded me of Hillary Clinton. Almost incapable of uttering a thought without snickering or giggling. The girl from NYU was particularly obnoxious. I have a niece just like her. She probably has had literally no exposure to conservative thought in her life. The libs as young libs are prone to be seem to recite their political beliefs in an almost robotic fashion while the conservatives or republicans on the panel were very well spoken.

We have much more important things to consider, like what the meaning of "is" is. Not my fight anymore Nate, I am long past my use by date.

I make you as about three years older than I am so if you are past your use date that means I am there or fast approaching it.

I still have a kid in the seventh grade so I can cash in quite yet but I also have three in law school and college, and six grandkids about to enter college, so I really can't quit yet. Thus, this battle over the souls of our youth has an immediate application to me.

Crusty old conservatives like us just gotta keep soldiering on.
