Actually we’re on a bit of a cooling trend with rain in the forecast for much of next week. Of course you well know that doesn’t mean we’ll actually get any! LOL

We really should cone down for a visit before the holidays.

I’ve already been trying out some new cookie recipes. Feel free to share any favorites you have! *Hugs*

Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients
Crust:
2 cups flour
½ cup Powdered Sugar
1 cup butter, softened
Cookie:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 Pkg English Toffee Chips
1 Cup Chopped Pecans
Pinch Salt
Instructions
1) Combine flour & sugar, cut in butter, press in 9x13 pan. Bake @ 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
2) Beat together milk, egg, vanilla, & salt until smooth. Stir in toffee chips & pecans, pour over crust, bake @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
3) Cool, cover, & chill. Cut into bars. Store in fridge.
These only taste good (Great!) after cooling in the fridge overnight. Don’t taste them warm, you’ll not believe how delicious they are otherwise!

My sweet lil Daisy dog is 16 now & although I sometimes think about her advancing age she is showing no signs of slowing down. The only give away regarding her age is she only has two teeth left so her smile is a tad toothless! LOL

I’ve got two dozen books in my to read pile, but when I’m flat on my back and taking codeine I just fall asleep. I’ve taken to reading aloud to Titan.
