Pat Buchanan: Obama's Syrian Strike Would Be "Impeachable"

Patrick J. Buchanan tells Newsmax if President Obama decides to attack Syria without Congressional authorization, he would be engaging in "what would clearly be an impeachable act."

when was the last time congress declared war? How many times has America comitted acts of war against other nations since then? This argument is as old as the Republic. The fact is, the President is Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States which gives him a degree of latitude in deploying military force globally. he can not declare war but he can certainly start wars by his actions, especially if Congress declines to reign him in. Like it or not, America elected him. When they did that, they gave him immense power- like it or not. Congress has the ability to reign that power in but do they have the will? Do I want this hand grenade throwing monkey running amok in the middle east? sure. why wouldn’t I? Kill ‘em all. Let god sort ‘em out.

What better way to cover up Bengahzi, Fast and furious, IRS, Wind and Solar panel gate, NSA spying on US, Over-riding the constittution? Don’t look into who accompaines Obama on his many trips around the world at taxpayer expence ? Were they the heavy hitters or their friends holding the president’s hand isn’t that pay back at US taxpayer expence?. Isn’t that an impeachable offense ??

That person he’s watching a 10 year old black kid and a saint ,not six foot two 160 pound 16 year old, who gets killed fighting over a gun. . Now paint a target on the security guards back .Ain’t that neat ? What better way to discourage any investigation into malfeasance and corruption by organizing the base for riots in the streets ? Likely an impeachable act, but NOTHING of the sort will happen. The GOP leadership is content to be Emperor Obama’s court eunuchs and no Democrats would think of impeaching Dear Leader. However, a Syrian conflict is highly unpopular and combined with the onrushing Obamacare train wreck, I would think many Congressional Democrats are fearing big loses in the 2014 elections.
