Reagan a traitor?

President Ronald Reagan was the greatest leader of my lifetime -- President Coolidge was a couple of decades before my birth.

The greatness of President Reagan is undeniable and one proof is that the fraud "Reverend" Martin Luther King hated him, uttering these vile, most un-Christian words:

"When a Hollywood performer, lacking distinction even as an actor, can become a leading war hawk candidate for the presidency, only the irrationalities induced by war psychosis can explain such a turn of events."

And before he was forced to sign it into law, President Reagan opposed the deification of King with the holiday. America is not the country I knew. A holiday named for "Reverend" King but not one for George Washington or for Ronald Reagan.

To be fair, one good thing did arise from MLK. We know what streets to avoid since the most crime-infested areas have a Martin Luther King Boulevard going right down the middle.

” President Ronald Reagan was the greatest leader of my lifetime — President Coolidge was a couple of decades before my birth.

Yep, and Reagan loved Coolidge.

” And before he was forced to sign it into law, President Reagan opposed the deification of King with the holiday”

Yes he did, and went further saying that classified information the government had on King was anything but heroic.

I was alive at that time and in my early adult years. There were NOT peaceful protests(No such thing has or will ever exist.)The so called “Civil Rights” movement was a continuation into our hemisphere of the Third World assault against Western Civilization brought about by Gandhi. Third World leaders were cunning enough to realize that while they could never win an open war against Western Civilization they could take advantage of disintegrating European cohesion and the growing pacifism in the West.(Two disastrous Intra European World Wars led to the aforementioned.) Look and compare all the goals of the “movement” and the results today. The results today are consistent with goals achieved by conquest: i.e. massive wealth transfer, discrimination in employment and education; black assaults and murders of whites,, insults, growing white poverty; black and immigrant demands for exemption from prosecution such as “No profiling”: demands for jail and fines for those that resist blacks and ignoring the provisions of a “White Constitution.” King’s movement was a declaration of war.

My pleasure, my friend. Yes, you gave me a shock there as well. But I saw your later posts and realized the error.

Of course, you don’t agree that President Reagan was a traitor of any kind. Sheesh!

Reagan was/is a true hero of mine. I attended his funeral. Between Pt. Mugu, and Simi Valley at least 500,000 people lined the streets.

Some of those trying to make King into a conservative are conservative members of his own family (his niece and one of his daughters in particular) and certain Black conservatives who still seem to think that his utterances were divinely inspired. Despite their doubtless good intentions, this is a ludicrous position to take. If white Americans can accept the fact that George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln (among others) were not orthodox, "born-again" chrstians, then certainly Blacks can accept that King was not a "gxd" in human form.

The most damning information about King isn't his Communist associations or his sexual behavior but his liberal, unorthodox religious beliefs. Surprisingly, there is a total blackout on this topic across the political spectrum. We have heard of King's adulteries and his Communist associations for decades but we never hear anything about his so-called "theology"--despite the fact that this might be the one area that would get some Blacks to reassess their opinion of him (I doubt that any care that "the man who ended jim crow" was a Communist or an adulterer).

Why doesn't anyone say anything about this???

This is an interesting read on MLK, the civil rights movement, and Marxism (if you can find a copy):

I testify: My years As An F.B.I. Undercover Agent Paperback – January 1, 1966
by Julia Clarice Brown (Author)

Ms. Brown was a Black lady who infiltrated the Civil Rights movement for the FBI and exposes its Communist roots.

I actually met Julia Brown when I was in grade school. She came to my family’s home for lunch (along with some bodyguards). I wish I would have been older so that I could have remembered and grasped the conversation.

Here is an article written about her in Ebony magazine:
