“With no UN approval.”

Stop with the UN approval crap already. Go read the Constitution. Only Congress can declare war.

Obama should be aware that there are some big boys standing at the sidelines in this fight...

Russia is a player here, and they are supporting Bashar al-Assad. The Chinese are an interested party as well...

And our Annointed Amateur chooses to challenge them...with a timid slap...endangering our nation...and Israel.

Even as the action is being planned, he's pulling his punches -- and telegraphing it! Attracting even more disrespect...and contempt.

This is not going to end well.

I’m going to assume your not scolding me, even though your tone is not very neighborly. I know damn well how far we’ve drifted from constitutional groundings.

I’m not supporting UN approval, just parroting how much the left demanded it when Bush was President, even though he bent over backward to involve the UN.

Isn’t that why we have a sarcasm tag?

I suppose I should have planted the /s, but really, shouldn’t all things related to Zero here on FR be considered an expression of outrage or sarcasm?

Probably True: Chemical weapons were used in Syria.

Unproven Assumption: Syrian President Bashar al-Assad or someone in his chain of command ordered and authorized the attack with chemical weapons.

Unproven Assumption: Chemical weapons were used by anti-Assad forces who then blamed Assad for their use.

Question: Does the Unites States or any other nation have a moral obligation to punish those who use chemical weapons?

Makes you wonder if these weapons were out of Sadam's old cache. If that's the case, this could have been prevented years ago. Bush's fault!/s

“Question: Does the Unites States or any other nation have a moral obligation to punish those who use chemical weapons?”

The chemical weapon attack, provided that it occurred, was not directed against the United States or one of our allies. If Obama strikes it is an act of war upon Syria. You’ll note please that morality is not justification for declaring war or F.D.R. could have declared war against Japan for the Rape of Nanking and the continued slaughter and subjugation of the Chinese in Manchuria. Our illustrious warmongering Idiot-in-Chief will be opening the door and we will be answering for it.

I need more coffee and tobacco.

Note: The inclusion of the Rape of Nanking was only one instance of hundreds of moral reasons that could have been presented including those from our era. I listed that only as one example.

You never know. That’s why I came out swinging. I ask your pardon.
