JERUSALEM (AP) -- The Israeli military on Tuesday shot down a rocket launched from neighboring Egypt toward a popular Red Sea resort, and an al-Qaida-linked militant group claimed responsibility for the attack, fueling concerns that jihadist groups are trying to disrupt the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty.
It was the first time that Israel has deployed its "Iron Dome" rocket defense system in Eilat, a normally placid resort near Egypt's Sinai peninsula that is popular with Israeli and European tourists.
The incident came after days of heightened tension along the Egypt-Israel border fueled by an Egyptian crackdown on militant groups. The area has experienced increased militant activity since the ouster of long-time Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak two years ago.
Israel's defense minister, Moshe Yaalon, said the Iron Dome system shot down a Grad-style Katyusha rocket fired from Egypt after midnight. There were no injuries.

The Mujahideen Shura Council in the Environs of Jerusalem has claimed to carry out similar attacks in the past, and the statement included details about the strike, including the type of rocket and the time it was fired.”
Hmmm...wonder why AP did not think to share the type of rocket with their readers? My guess is that we know why....Obama...Benghazi...arming AQ.
Obama aides probably arranged the rocket attempt. Watch a few seasons of ‘24’ and then time it by ten as far as the kind of insane treachery that actually goes on behind the scenes, which the public will never know about.

Morsi and the MBS have been at this since Morsi ‘took’ office...gun running and basically inviting Jihadists, Hamas and any other terrorist group to ‘come on down to the Sinai’....which is why the planned clean sweep of the area once Morsi was out...and they wasted no time getting it under way.
The ‘nests’ are more than just getting stirred.......but let me also add that the MBS in Cairo have publicaly stated, from Rabba, that the Sinai clashes will not cease until Morsi and his administration is reinstated.
Additionally...this is also about disrupting cargo ships thru the Suez....if the Jihadists can stop the flow of oil they can affect every nation..including ours. 90% of all oil is transported thru the Suez.
There are huge stakes at play in Egypt that will profoundly affect the entire ME....we would have never seen the long line of diplomats, from all over the world, “visiting” the temporary administration were it not more than just significant.
Interesting fact...this week was the largest in history of cargo ships passing thru the Suez .....they all know (with Egypt as it is currently)...they have a chance to wipe out a good part of these thugs....many are also in the Rabba & Nadah encampments.. so they have those pretty much contained at the moment.
BIBI and SISI are untied in the effort to claer out the Sinai...but both have their eyes fully open to each other as well...
At any rate if things get too hot on the Sinai..the Un and Eu will also send forces to protect the Suez....according to the Camp David agreements.

i hope they have inserted tracking devices through injections and are using them as directional targets.
