Putting bits of aluminum foil and a acid in a plastic bottle to produce a gas is not making a bomb.
Honestly I do not know a kid I grew up with that did try making one of these things at least once .
I am glad I grew up when I did an not now.
We made worse things in our chemistry classes .
Oh my goodness. My kryptonite!
You said “...drain opener...”, which is NaOH.
whatever.
Oh come on, is there anyone who hasn’t at least thrown a couple of fire bombs from the back seat of a Camero? Gee, that’s just growing up out here in Crackerville.
That's not to say she brainy enough to take that information/knowledge and use it wisely, if to use it at all.
Allegedly, they cost $5200.
You bet, I'd recognize them from a mile out! (Chances are they're made by my company.)
Actually the reaction uses NaOH... I used it as a kid to generate hydrogen in lagre quanties... for filling weather balloons.
So, was it bad of me to crush up the Estes rocket motors I got for Christmas when I was eight, and fill the glass Testors paint bottles with the powder, and stick the rocket fuses through a hole in the lid? I mean hypothetically, was it bad? If it was then, hypothetically, every kid in the neighbor hood was bad, bad, bad.
I actually prefer the unpainted look, which would look nice with a smile.
