BreitbartĀ“s Big Journalism ^ | 8/5/13 | Ben Shapiro

Obama made a speech at Amazon. Bezos bought WaP.

I’m not seeing a connection. Are they implying there is a fix in for tax dollars going to the WaP?

Why did Bezon even bother? The circulation of WaPo is less than 500,000 - 1/6 that of the WSJ.

Because Amazon is going to get the same sorts of deal that Facebook and Berkshire Hathaway did. He spends $250 mil and will get back 3 to 4 billion in kickback deals.

So we are supposed to believe that in less than six days Amazon worked up a $250M deal to buy a newspaper? Possible. But not likely.

That deal was in the works for months probably

Bezos is an Obama supporter of course, if he was a conservative there would be no sale.

Meanwhile, the publicly held NYTimes gave its Boston Globe, plus other papers, to a hyper-liberal buyer even though three other groups offered more.

NBC and CNN are just two networks planning fawning films about Lady Hillary.

They’re running circles around their supposed political opposition.

Could have been the final arm twisting. Or, of course, Obama’s visit was set up ahead of time, too.

Everyone was head scratching over why Obama was making a middle-class factory job speech at a low-wage distribution center.

All of the internet bigwigs vist the white house often. I’ll aways believe they’re run by the government. Take the WaPo. The government can’t own it. But it does. Bezos is just the public face.

Bezos wants the Marketplace Fairness Act passed, bad.

AZ growth is requiring warehouses in more and more states, which makes AZ subject to state sales tax collection. Which AZ already has in place or is doing.

The MFA would force all of AZ’s smaller competitors who don’t have nexus to also collect sales tax, many of which don’t have the IT capability to get it done.

AZ also plans to sell that service to it’s affiliate sellers.

Some beach.
