Floridians Outraged Over Islamic Bias And Indoctrination In School Textbooks
Freedom Outpost ^ | July 26, 2013 | Dean Garrison

Does Prentice Hall ring a bell? Depending on when you went to school you may have had a few Prentice Hall textbooks. I know I did. One of their current textbooks, simply titled World History, is causing quite the stir in Florida. (Florida Today) reports:

Two Brevard School Board members are reviewing a world history textbook used in ninth grade Advance Placement classes amid concerns that it is biased in favor of Islam — at the expense of Christianity and Judaism.

House Representative Ritch Workman and individuals from two citizens groups spoke against the textbook, Prentice Hall World History, at the Brevard School Board meeting Tuesday, citing examples of phrases and passages they believe show bias.

If you aren’t home-schooling or sending your kids to a private Christian school, you are guilty of child abuse.

Looks like Islam is winning its war against civilization.

here in Texas at least one district must be using the same textbooks
A 6th grader brought home his workbook after studying the chapter on religions from the middle East
question
What archaic book do Christians worship?
question
What holy book do Muslims use to guide their lives?

This is the school district where the Holyland Foundation is headquartered. Richardson Tx

on Noes NO coincidence

School board members Amy Kneessy and Andy Ziegler promised to review the textbook...

“No matter what the subject is, whether it’s math, English, science or world history, students need to have accurate, unbiased information,” Kneessy said. “If textbooks are unbiased or incomplete, it’s our job to fix that.”

Yup, we wouldn't want any "unbiased" textbooks out there. Either this is a Freudian slip, he's an idiot, or he thinks the readers are idiots. Could be all three!

Look. There is enough information out there to show that sending your kids to a government school is not at all in their best interests. If you have the means to do otherwise yet still make the choice to send your kids to government school, then you’re either irredeemably stupid or complicit.

“None” is the correct answer to both questions, right?

Textbooks are no good. Teach from original sources.

Communist Goals (1963) Congressional Record—Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963

#17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

Having home educated two girls who are now outstanding scholars, I beg to differ. You are correct when it comes to literature or even history. When it comes to math and science, textbooks come in quite handy when it comes to supplementing real world problem solving. The texts add a degree of rigor.

Floridians should be outraged that they have some of the worst public schools in the United States, with even the few classy towns having to have Holder’s people bussed in.

I agree! It also makes a lot of sense. My husband and I have struggled to keep our child in a private Christian school. In return, he has a full scholarship to a major University. Awesome return for our investment.

Too long for a license plate, a bumper sticker, or a tagline...but I concur!

One of the goals of the radical left is to eliminate Christianity and Judaism. They think that they can enlist the death cult to help them. Problem is the death cult is much worse, and will target the radical godless left first.

Thanks.

Are they going to teach the sanitized version of the Religion of Peace, or the one where women are dirty whores who must be covered and hidden away, and homosexuals should be stoned?
