President Obama tried to move past months of debate over guns, surveillance and scandal on Wednesday and reorient his administration behind a program to lift a middling economy and help middle-class Americans who are stuck with stagnant incomes and shrinking horizons.
In speeches in two small college towns in the Midwest, Mr. Obama lamented that typical Americans had been left behind by globalization, Wall Street irresponsibility and Washington policies, while the richest Americans had accumulated more wealth. He declared it “my highest priority” to reverse those trends, while accusing other politicians of not only ignoring the problem but also making it worse.
“With this endless parade of distractions and political posturing and phony scandals, Washington’s taken its eye off the ball,” Mr. Obama told an audience at Knox College, in Galesburg, Ill., the site of his first major economic speech as a young senator eight years ago. “And I am here to say this needs to stop. This needs to stop. This moment does not require short-term thinking. It does not require having the same old stale debates. Our focus has to be on the basic economic issues that matter most to you — the people we represent.”

As the NYT blares the headline 'Focusing on the Economy Vowing to Help the Middle Class' {sic} I said to my self 'really, now'. Whoop-de-doo. Have you heard the news, oh, boy? Obama vowing to help the Middle Class, Obama pledging to take time off from his busy schedule importing monkey wrenches from China, that he throws into the machinery of the American economy vowing to help the Middle Class.
The first question that comes to mind is of course why the economy, the middle class has not until now been the focus of anything? Even more compelling, why has the economy been neglected, undermined up until this very moment and to which he now has found important enough to take time off, teeing off, flying off,blowing off, j**king off, to sudenly be mesmerized by the economy and Middle Class?
Well, first of all, he's finally realized, 'hope and change' is not going to happen, as a catchphrase and as conditions of everyday life. He's run out of ideas, gimmicks, shtik, what have you and so he does what others who have suffered from political block and starting to recycle the old issues as the new thing.
But really, I see him just biding his time, not a thing to worry about, no issue or problem to upset him or his political ungenda.
Seeing the story of his new found political conscience, I couldn't help think of the classic confrontation between Senator McCarthy and Joseph Welch, the entire confrontation available on YouTube that I believe is quite appropriate in the case of Mr. Obama and his vacuous, do-nothing, really don't give a s*it, empty suit manner in which he governs. And as Joseph Welch made so very clear to Sen MCcarthy, the American people have every right to tell Obama;Have yo no shame? Have you no decency? Have you no decency the way day after day you make the country a little worse off,take us for fools, lie to with impunity, degrade us in what you do to us and in how you do it with your Machiavellian sociopath machinations, believing about yourself everything you've created for us to believe in your own sinister image, in every way imaginable.
We simply have no idea who you are, what you are, except for having spawned in Satan's den of iniquity as his only misbegotten son.
