I appreciate Krauthammer shooting down Steve Hayes' attempt to praise Obama's White House Press Conference appearance on the George Zimmerman verdict. Sadly, I've heard too many conservatives give the thumbs up to The One's "heart-felt" and "genuine" speech. There are two reasons I don't like it and these two reasons were the thread running through his 17 minute speech: 1) He was an apologist for black victim hood. 2) He appealed to the sentiments of white guilt. That in itself disqualifies the speech from having any positive or redemptive aspects. When he tried to speak "positive" at the end, it was immediately nullified based on the first part of his speech--the 9 or so minutes of his NAACP-like talking points.
Krauthammer: Obama's Trayvon Speech "Not Enlightening"--The Trial Was Not About Race
Administration will try and keep this the main topic of a media cycle as long as possible.
Yeah, because they don’t want to talk about the scandals that affect them
The evidence of the trial showed it was not about race.
However, the forces of black racial bias, white-guilt, political opportunism, and a general hatred for the traditional founding of this country by would-be controlling malcontents are allied to make it about race.
It is about personal and professional perpetual victimism because the collective “they” cannot win their arguments otherwise.
They don’t want to hear about it
My problem with the speech is that Mr. Obama changed the issue from race relations and Second Amendment rights — to himself. Ever notice how he always has to stick himself in everywhere? When Neil Armstrong died, Obama shared a picture of himself looking at the moon. To pay tribute to Rosa Parks, he showed a picture of himself sitting in the same bus. There’s a big ego for you!
Obama doesn’d enlightening. Is “endarkening” a word?
“Endarkening” is now a word. It pertains ONLY to BO.
Obama’s whining speech made one thing perfectly clear.
Neither he or his moocher base have any idea how utterly fed up most of the non-moocher public is with the endless whining and caterwalling from blacks like him about how mis-understood they are.
Obama says we don’t understand blacks - But we do understand them all right - that’s why young black men hear door locks snapping shut when they walk by.
Just hearing a black or white-guilt apologist mention the word “Race” is enough to disgust us and to instantly tune them out. No reasonable non-moocher, non-leftist takes the entiire subject of race seriously anymore. Whining about race has become like the tires we hear humming on the superhighway in the distance - it is almost always there and is an irritant - other than that it is meaningless.
We have been having this “conversation about race” since LBJ’s time and all it leads to is more mooching, more crime and more whining.
Hey Charles.....EVERYTHING is NOW about RACE!! Obama has seen to it!! “The Boston cops acted STUPIDLY”...etc....etc.
“Endarkening” is a GREAT word....PERFECT!
Proper Usage of “ENDARKEN”:
Yesterday Barack Obama endarkened the national mood once again with one of his standard maudlin, whining speeches about race and his deprived childhood.
Definitely racist however, lol
obama does NOT want a dialogue on race. That would be a dark, dark rabbit hole for him.
Our Halfrican-American President has spoken.
Barry has set back race relations by 100 years.
The media has worked hand in glove to the WH. They continue to run a pix of a smiling 12 year old when in reality, he was a tattooed thug.
Obama looked really weird during this latest burst of his own “acting stupidly”. He looked drunk or was on some type of dope. His eyes were half shut and his mouth was looking odd.
Obama should never be president. He is totally out of control and unworthy of this position.
Based on Obama’s theory, his black half wants to govern Florida, while his white half governs Chicago, Detroit, et al. He doesn’t seem to give a damn about black “kids” killed by blacks, only black “kids” killed by whites.
