“With the passing of Ted Kennedy, we have lost a great leader, one who influenced our country and helped to shape our destiny as a nation for almost half a century. The history books will show that Ted was a dedicated public servant who worked tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts and the nation. He will long be remembered as a champion for the causes he believed in. He leaves behind a long list of bipartisan legislative accomplishments, the impact of which will continue to be felt for generations to come.

“Most importantly, he was a true, thoughtful and caring friend. I enjoyed working with him. Diana and I will miss him dearly and we join with all those who knew and loved him in keeping Vicki and the Kennedy family in our thoughts and prayers.”

--Mike Enzi

What does a remark on the death of a sitting Senator from a fellow Senator have to do with what you learned about the radical anti-conservatism of Liz Cheney in post 58

You seem to be pretending ignorance of Liz Cheney’s radical homosexual agenda, and then ignore the posts telling you what it is.

I think that at this point you are revealing a position of your own on the homosexual agenda, abortion, and social conservatism.

Liz Cheney has no radical homosexual agenda. She’s a solid conservative and you know it.

Supporting ending DADT is radical, supporting gay marriage is radical, fighting against DOMA is radical, fighting against a constitutional amendment to preserve marriage is radical, promoting the state department recognizing gay couples is radical.

Being pro-abortion is radical, and after all this time, of never being pro-life, we know that means pro-abortion.

Your radical choice for the Senate is anti-conservative, not a “solid conservative”.

You say she’s “fearless”. Then why doesn’t she run against a Democrat , in Virginia, and increase GOP’s numbers in Congress? Wouldn’t that be a more courageous candidacy - against a Democrat congressman or Senator in purple state of Virginia?

When has Liz Cheney come out in favor of abortion?

By the way, Enzi wants to tax the Internet. To you, that must be conservative.

Why do you keep ignoring our responses to you in answer to what you pretended didn’t exist?

Supporting ending DADT is radical, supporting gay marriage is radical, fighting against DOMA is radical, fighting against a constitutional amendment to preserve marriage is radical, promoting the state department recognizing gay couples is radical.

I think that at this point you are revealing a position of your own on the homosexual agenda, abortion, and social conservatism.

After you acknowledge her radical gay agenda, then you can tell us what this 46 year old (supposedly conservative) politician’s position is on abortion, since you won’t be able to do that, then you can face the reality of why that is so, it isn’t a pro-life position that she has so carefully kept hidden all these years from conservatives.

You say that Liz Cheney is pro-abortion. I asked you to give me some evidence of that. Your rambling run-on sentence still hasn't answered my question.

First acknowledge that we have proven her homosexual support which you have been denying existed, and which was the first line of defense from you, before you switch to a new one.

So your claim that she is pro-abortion is untrue, since you apparently have no evidence to back it up.

So you are one of those guys, you think that just making it up as you go, somehow conceals the truth about your candidate.

I guess that by now we can just figure that you are admitting to her pro-gay agenda since once it was proven, you just went silent.

Now perhaps you can answer my posts on her and abortion.

Post 45 said—””She has spent years promoting the homosexual agenda, and at age 46, after all these years of politics, Romney support, and interviews, no one knows her abortion views.
To me that tells us what her abortion views are, no matter how she tries to soft pedal them at some future point when she is cornered and has to answer.””

Post 64 pointed out—””Being pro-abortion is radical, and after all this time, of never being pro-life, we know that means pro-abortion.””

Post 67 pointed out—””After you acknowledge her radical gay agenda, then you can tell us what this 46 year old (supposedly conservative) politician’s position is on abortion, since you won’t be able to do that, then you can face the reality of why that is so, it isn’t a pro-life position that she has so carefully kept hidden all these years from conservatives.””
Do you think that this 46 year old politician, has been hiding a pro-life position from conservatives for all these years?

We have our own senate race here in GA coming up. We have to elect a super conservative hopefully Paul Broun.

Maybe you could get Liz Cheney to run there instead?

Nothing against Liz Cheney, but why isn't she running in Virginia? She's from McLean and moved there in 2012.

Because that would be hard. Daddy's name doesn't carry much weight in Virginia.

Kinda early to be declaring ‘front runners’ isn’t it? Didn’t Liz just announce?

Okay, if it will make you happy, I'll acknowledge that she does seem soft on the gay agenda, but I'm not convinced that she's pursuing those issues with a lot of enthusiasm.

However, your statement that "no one knows her abortion views" contradicts your earlier statement that she's pro-abortion.

She isn’t “soft” on gay issues, she is a years long promoter and supporter of the homosexual agenda.

In view of her hiding her abortion views so thoroughly through so many years of republican politics, working on campaigns and through countless interviews, and now having announced to take away a Republican senate seat, and in view of her radical pro-homosexual politics, I think that we have to conclude that it is not a pro-life position that she is hiding.

She is a proven social liberal, which =s not conservative.

Ansel12 makes an excellent point that is lost on Cheney supporters. She's running in a GOP primary, in one of the most staunchly conservative states in the union. There's zero downsides to being publicly pro-life in a scenario like that. If her intent is to position herself as the "more conservative" candidate than Enzi and a "fighter" for conservative causes, she would have been vocally supportive of the pro-life position years ago, and probably even peppered her announcement speech with pro-life applause lines, knowing it would endear conservative GOP primary voters to her and perhaps get some hardcore pro-life Enzi supporters to consider her candidacy.

The fact she's always been completely silent on the issue and has avoided saying ANYTHING about it speaks volumes. Even if she's not pro-abortion, she certainly isn't comfortable bringing it up and thus can't be trusted to be as reliable as Enzi is on the issue.

When pro-lifers can’t even sense an intuitive “dog whistle” of pro-life in a prominent, many years publicly active, “conservative”, then I think we can conclude what is kind of obvious.

We don’t have to play stupid.

I am not sure why that is even a factor. Frankly, beating Enzi is probably a taller task than running in VA. She would easily win the nod in VA, and a tough fight in an off-year election in VA often is in our favor. Not sure who's up in VA, next year (if anyone) so I am not sure what the matchup would look like.

I still am ashamed at the vitriol on this page over someone who is widely a great champion of our ideas. I have no beef with Enzi. He's not on my list of people that need to go, but Good Lord, the hatred here is not something to be proud of.

Amen! Liz Cheney is, indeed, a great champion of our ideas. The all-consuming hatred that some have expressed against her on FR truly astounds me.
